"Diet" sweeteners that make you fatter. Where is the CDC? Where is the MSM? Oh, that's right...they like us unhealthy.

in #informationwar6 years ago (edited)

Sadly, people who have trouble with weight already are the most susceptible to additional fat storage as a result of several sweeteners described as "diet" or "low-fat." The problem is so acute, that one of my favorite health information sources (NaturalNews.com) has a new article all about the dangers of artificial sweeteners. Some are worse than others, and a couple are actually okay. You really need to check this out:

https://www.naturalnews.com/2018-07-21-do-you-really-want-to-use-that-artificial-sweeteners-linked-to-unwanted-weight-gain.html#

Here is a key excerpt:

" Foods and drinks labeled “low-fat” and “diet” are not helping you lose weight, but actually, do the opposite. These products contain artificial sweeteners that actually cause fat accumulation and unwanted weight gain. These side effects are especially pronounced in people who are already obese....

Listed below are artificial sweeteners you need to avoid and in what food can they be found:

Acesulfame potassium – Found in soft drinks, gelatins, chewing gum, and frozen desserts, this artificial sweetener has been linked to cancer. Acesulfame potassium is sold in the market in the names Sunett and Sweet One.
High-fructose corn syrup – This chemical sweetener contains 17 calories per teaspoon and has been found to contribute to obesity more than sucrose. It can be found in cereals, desserts, and sodas.
Neotame – Neotame is around 7,000 to 13,000 times sweeter than table sugar and is made by the same company that produces aspartame. It can be found in some beverages, dairy products, frozen desserts, puddings, and fruit juices.
Saccharin – Also known as Sweet’N Low, saccharin does not contain any calories but has been linked to bladder cancer. It can be found in drinks, canned goods, and candies."

Most of us, I am sure have heard of High-fructose corn syrup and Saccharin, but the other two--Acesulfame potassium and Neotame are less familiar, but just as deadly. Sadly, we all need to become expert in these odd chemical compounds, and we all need to become label-reading nerds. It is truly one of the only ways that we are going to be aware of some of the awful stuff that the PTB WANT US TO EAT AND DRINK.

It has become popular culture, perhaps, but I believe it really is true when we hear that the elites want us just healthy enough to work for them, but also sick enough (at the same time) to "need" their pharmaceutical "solutions" and bogus western "cures." Stay off of these sweeteners. It will go along way toward helping you to good health; and, read the rest of the article. It has some good advice near the end for things you CAN use as sweeteners that do not have the opposite effect of what the corporatocracy is advertising.

Stay well!

This stuff is worse than sugar by Far! Sugar will only cause cancer; this crap will kill you!

Use Stevia, or limited sugar. Recently, to make Kombucha tea, I had to go buy sugar for the fermentation, I didn't have any in my house! :D

Stevia is the one I'm hearing is the best option...

Yes, Stevia is a good sweetener, especially if you add Xyletol. That combination is sold a truvia. It is safe, and a good sweetener.

Artificial sweeteners are pure poison! :)

What does the Xyletol do?

It is a sugar alcohol that occurs naturally, with a glycemic index of zero. Safe for diabetics and easy for the body to use. Not as sweet tasting as sugar by itself, but combined with 1/8 tsp of Stevia, a teaspoon of Xyletol is a little sweeter than sugar.

This combination is sweet, and safe! :D

Hmmm...very good to know. Thanks, Toby.

The best part, is that Cancer can Not use it; like it can Sugar! :)

howdy @mepatriot! yes sir, so true, great information and advice!

I know this one wondered over into your territory a bit, but...

haha! I loved it, I thought it was great and right on and people need to be reminded of this stuff and how important it is. that reminds me I got cake and ice cream in the freezer to finish!

LOL...Keto cake and keto ice cream...I'm sure...

of course! haha..no this is our every other week cheat weekend but I don't even have any of that in the house. I didn't get to be on the shopping trip this week or I would have that good stuff!

LOL...is "the good stuff" the sugary stuff or the keto stuff?

ha! well for the cheat weekend then the good stuff is definitely the sugary stuff!
