@FlowerTower LATINO IS NOT MASCULINE. It is inherently non-binary, it discloses neither female nor male, even calling a group of females Latinos isn't wholly incorrect and happens quite often in Latin America.

@Carola , Spanish and Portuguese ARE Latinos since their language comes from LATIN. Brazilian, Mexican and all Spanish speaker countries in Americas are Latin American.

@FlowerTower In spanish its "un grupo de latinos" ... even if it's a group with men and women in it. Source: I live in Spain and speak Spanish.

What do you mean? Latinx was started (or at least spread) by Latinos. I even know people from Mexico who say Latinx instead of Latino. How would Americans even start the Latinx thing if they can’t even speak Spanish and the entire point of saying Latinx is something you’d only understand if you’d speak Spanish? But yeah, most people still just say Latino either way, and in the USA there are probably more White people who say Latinx than there are Latinxs/Latinos that do. Honestly, who even cares? I regret writing this comment, this topic is so pointless, nothing will change either way.
