Its BS, dont like the word, dont call me the word. In the spanish language we swapped latino and latina around without any issues for years and dont want it change for all bunch of people that might dont even speak spanish to begin with. Dont want to use it because its said "latino community" when in spanish it is "la communidad latina" lol. Maybe go do some research in america latina before you want to make a term and says that we are a bunch of sexist people just because it is latino community in english

@FlowerTower yeah i agree. I refered to the terms latino/a and hispanic, both words often used interchangeably but shouldnt be. Colorism in latinamerica def exists, no denying that. Mestizos are "white" in the sense that its predom euro culture being prefered by the status quo like u mentioned
