Dreams, what are they where do they come from? Are they real, illusions, do they have meaning, These are questions many would like to see the answers revealed.
Dreams can be a variety of things. You can look back at events of times past and dream if something had been done differently, the changes it may have made to the life we live today. This can be done for the future too, in dreaming what can be accomplished in a future time. We dream while we are sleeping and awake, Is there a difference between the two? Is one more real than the other? Both are where our mind takes on a thought process and we see things or possibilities we did not perceive before. These are questions many have asked over the years and many will in the future I am guessing too. This post will answer none of those questions, I do not have any answers.
I do have something to offer on dreams though, which I think is not seen or noticed by many.

The majority of us have seen a baby sleep and dream. What does a baby have to dream about? They know little of the world to be able to dream of anything and yet they still do. This may be true for many adults too. That would be to go off topic though. But we can determine that dreams do exist even if they are not of a physical nature. In some dreams, the possibility of doing things which are impossible to do, actually do happen. We can jump from the top of a building and land at the top of a mountain. We can go deep sea diving and end up floating in the clouds. We can see things in dreams, it would be impossible to see in any other place.

Dreams can be many things, they can be fun, informative, the inspiration for ideas or solutions to ideas we had. They can open doors of possibilities we never envisioned or nightmares to doors we wished we kept closed. The good or bad of a dream is only fully seen once we are woken again. During the dream experience, we are more often not aware we are sleeping. We are oblivious to the world beyond the dream. This does not mean the physical world does not exist and maybe the same is for when we are awake, the dream world still exists too? Questions science itself may never have the answers to, or maybe the questions they do not dream to ask.

So what is the key to dreams? This is where my two cents kicks in. If you look closer at how you dream you can have an influence on the dreams you have. Nope, I am not talking about lucid dreaming where you can take a certain control over your dream and manipulate its direction. In lucid dreaming total control over the dream is never gained. The dream may still take radical turns in a non-desired direction. This is not a proven theory I am putting out here, one more of personal experiences. People generally dream of a past event, an upcoming event, or something which is playing heavily with their thoughts.
Which side you lay on can have an outcome to the dream you will have. If you sleep on your right side, you will more often dream of future things. Sleeping on your left side will bring dreams of times past. Depending on if you are deliberating on something past or looking forward to optional possibilities, might be a deciding factor in the dream you have dependant on which side you rest your head on that pillow.
Dream on! I say.

Took me a day or so to dream up the post. group up by the way
I'm voting you for this round.
Thank you. :)
So the side on which someone sleeps has that much influence on the dream we can have? That is information to me. And i am sure to many others.
Speaking of dreams, if i may ask. Can one awake from mid-way a dream and on returning to sleep, resume the same dream?
Otherwise thanks for being a great part of the @asapers
Returning to the same dream does happen, I know I have done on previous occasions, Not an easy thing to do, Once we have woken, we gain new influences to our thoughts, I do think to return to the same position you were in prior to wakening assists with the dream continuation. Even turning side to side can have an effect on a dream I would think.
My vote is too wak to give a reward to a comment, I have placed a vote on one of your posts so you can gain from the vote (tiny little bit)
You must be right. I have had instances when that has seemed the case for me. In deed, on some other occasions, i imagine i have indeed continued the dream on another day!
I have only until now kept brushing it aside. I had the feeling it is not possible. Thanks for the clarity.
And the vote! Don't worry, tiny is true! Thanks
I do not know how I missed this comment. Forgiveness.
Dreams can continue, in many cases, I have dreamt it is the same dream in partial, as in some of the same things happen in the two dreams, sometimes it advances, should you visit the same dream again, you may also walk a different path within the dream.
You can also influence your dream, in other manners by pre-sleep thoughts, This would be similar to the counting of sheep type thing, though you tell yourself a number of times you want to dream of ????? methods to empty the mind and achieve this I am not qualified to say.
when I was younger I used to wake myself up at pre-arranged times by repeating I wanted to wake up at that time over and over as I lay to sleep. and dang! it works. Using the same principle on a sleepless night were thinking cannot stop and it prevents sleep. I do a repetition of Time to sleep, empty the mind, clear all thought, these thoughts seem to influence the mind back and a goal or the aim to sleep is met.
Doing the same thing between those times, I have often had a dream about something I wished to dream on. Not always the dream I wanted, but the subject matter right. i might dream of an island, but it never had all the beautiful women preferred to be in the dream. lol
Wow..thanks for the explanation. I am now close to 'controlling' my dreams!
Im voting for you on this one others may have had stories to tell but for me your explaination made the most sense/ most inspirational over the rest i wish you luck!
Thank you. I was more of the thinking this would not fit the category right, as it is not about a dream but more just dreams in general.
Thank you for reading, But more so for saying you seen something in the post :)
Well it depends on the judges too and yours just stood out among the rest :)
