Olahraga Sepeda menjadi pilihan populer banyak kalangan di negara saat ini, baik itu juannya untuk olahraga, transporatsi, maupun hanya untuk sekedar gaya- gayaan.
Namun terlepas dari itu dalam dunia bersepeda, kita sering sekali mendengar kata - kata " GOWES " nah tahukah sahabat steemians sekalian arti kata " GOWES " itu berikut penjelasan singkat dari saya..
Apa Itu Gowes?
Gowes adalah aktifitas mengayuh Pedal pada sepeda, dan orang jaman " Now " banyak menyebut kata Gowes daripada Mengayuh, munkin dikarnakan lebih simpel dan enak didengar, serta lebih gaul terdengar di telinga..
Dari mana asal kata Gowes??
Iseng- iseng ane googling untuk mencari tahu, dari mana asal kata Gowes tersebut dan apa arti sebenarnya. Ternyata baik di Wikipedia maupun kamus Bahasa Indonesia Online tidak mengenal kata itu.
Namun dari berbagai situs / blog saya dapatkan beberapa pendapat tentag istilah Gowes seperti ini.
1. Bahasa Gaul yang dipopulerkan oleh Indra Bekti dan Indie Bares. Namun itu ternyata kata Plesetan dari Yowes, yang diucapkan dua presenter itu dalam program acara ceriwis di Trans TV.
2. Gowes juga berasal dari bahasa jawa " Genjot Ora genjot Wis Teles" atau artinya Dikayuh tidak dikayuh badanya basah.
3. Juga dari kata " Goblok Gak Uwes- Uwes" Goblok ngak selesai - selesai , Goblok Terus- terusan.
4. Asal kata " GOWES " dalam bahasa Inggris (Go West ) artinya pergi kebarat.
Yah.. Mudah Mudahan suatu sata nanti ada yang bisa menjawab arti dari kata Gowes digunakan saat mendayuh sepeda.
Namun pada intinya apapun artinya semoga kegiatan bersepda yang kian marak akhir- akhir ini bukan hanya sekedar trend, tapi menjadi sebuah budaya yang akan berdampak positif pada lingkungan kita....

Gowes is pedaling activities on the bike, and the people of "Now" many call the word Gowes rather than Pedaling, may dikarnakan more simple and nice to hear, and more slang heard in the ear ..
Where does Gowes come from?
Funny ane googling to find out, where the word Gowes came from and what it really means. It turns out both in Wikipedia and the Indonesian Online dictionary do not know the word.
But from various sites / blogs I get some opinions tentag Gowes terms like this.
1. Gaul language popularized by Indra Bekti and Indie Bares. But it turns out Plesetan word from Yowes, who pronounced the two presenters in a program of cherry show on Trans TV.
2. Gowes also comes from the Java language "Genjot Ora genjot Wis Teles" or means dikayuh not dikayuh wet badanya.
3. Also from the word "Goblok Gak Uwes- Uwes" Goblok ngak finish - finish, Goblok Berususan.

Well .. Easy Hopefully a later sata can answer the meaning of the word Gowes used when pedaling bicycle.
