Fair Kemayoran Semusim Kerak Telor
Ratusan warga Jawa Barat berduyun-duyun ke Ibu Kota saban tahun saat Jakarta Fair Kemayoran digelar. Berbekal keahlian meracik kerak telor, mereka mengadu nasib.

Tidak hanya mengorbankan Lebaran bersama keluarga. Mereka juga rela tidur di atas trotoar, berdesak-desakan dengan sesama penjual kerak telor beserta pikulan-pikulan setiap malam, lebih dari sebulan lamanya. Kemungkinan terdapat 400-an orang di sana. Ini demi menghemat waktu, jarak, dan tentunya biaya dibandingkan dengan jika mengontrak rumah.

Rahmat mengeluh. Modal Rp 1 juta dan setoran Rp 500.000 ke salah satu ormas sudah dikeluarkan agar bisa berjualan kerak telor tahun ini. Sekitar tiga pekan berjualan, ia belum balik modal.
