50% If You Surrender 85% If You Are Caught

in #india8 years ago (edited)

This is the formula offered by the govt of India. Those who disclosed unaccounted money post demonetization will have to forego 50% of the amount.

A part of this 50% will go towards infra-structural development and welfare measures for the poor. The depositors will have access to only 25% of the amount, the rest of the amount will be kept locked in for 4 years in the "Pradhan Mantri
Garib Kalyan Yojana" also no interest will accrue on the sum.

For those who do not surrender and are caught will have to cough up 85%. The fines are expected to work as a back up in the eventuality of a chunk of discarded money does not come back.
