Japan's independent kids
Maybe in Japan, the kids are independent in going to school alone because their country is safe unlike in other countries. And maybe, if the other countries is safe just like in Japan, the parents will allow their children in going to school alone too without any hesitation. I know that letting the kids to be independent is good but the other parents can't let themselves to care and worry so much for the safety of their children. And, it is better for them to be sure than regret after. Maybe, they let their children to be independent in some ways but not in letting their children to go alone anywhere or in going to school alone.
