Should I use the word 'Raw yolk' or 'Yolk' is already raw itself ? LOLOL
Way beyond anything..
You know what's cool about living in Thailand? Everything's just way beyond your expectation. In this post, let's just talk about an ice-cream that would blow your mind. The one I just had here in Bangkok (They actually have it somewhere else too). This is a famous one I heard and that's why we went!
Itim Kai Kang (ไอติมไข่แข็ง)
See this.. 'Itim'.. ? sounds like something at all? It's actually a lazy way to say 'Ice-cream' in Thai and those kids always say it. LOL Me too! A lot others too! We're lazy people over here.
Itim (ice-cream) means ice-cream (obviously lol)
Kai means egg
Kang means frozen or hard
Raw yolk & Coconut ice-cream
Yes, the itim kai kang is actually made of these two ingredients. Most of the places do this..
- Have a big box of coconut ice-cream in the freezer
- Crack an egg, seperate the yolk
- Dump it into the ice-cream
- Mix it all up till the egg gets frozen whice don't take much time
- Scoop it and serve like that
Super weird, ain't it?
I know, a lot of stuffs in Thailand could get pretty weird in foreigners' view. This one, I actually found it weird myself and didn't even dare eating it. Well, I did eat it eventually and it's not that bad at all. It's yum! Just like frozen custard as you know, those got raw eggs in them as well. You just don't see it!
Ni Ang (นิ-อ่าง น้ำแข็งไส ไอศครีม)
An ice-cream / shaved ice place in Talat Plu Market has this weird Thai stuff! and it's even weirder with how they serve it. They don't mix it before hand for you. They put this yolk on top and you mix it all yourself. Sorry! You may be grossed out by this! I was! LOL
Though, if you forget the fact that it's raw egg you're eating, you will be fine. The problem is 'Can you?'
The place serve soooo many types of ice-cream and dessert with loads of toppings you can choose from like.. this one we got frozen yogurt with strawberries and banana.
What you see here and what I can tell by just looking at this picture, the toppings are sweeten pineapples, sweeten potatos, water chestnut, sweeten pumpkins, taros, red beans, mung beans, corns, grass jelly, ginkgo, coconut jelly, etc.
Street style Thai ice-cream
I love everything street. I love the vibes and the price and how easy-going it is. This place is also Street shop / street vendor ? Anyways, It's right there by a street and have quite a lot of tables. They're all packed. People love street food here. It's Thailand! You also will! but not too sure if your tummy will agree.
As it's pretty street-styled, the price is also affordable. 2 bowls we got costed us 120 THB ($4). Weather was real hot and every thing was not the cleanest. #street

Oh! I also made a vlog a few days back. Have you watched? Have you!?
Bonus! For those who don't speak as their mother tongue.
You know, I'm one of those whose english's not perfect so when I was creating the vlog, I did look it up online as I was confused if 'Yolk' is raw or it could be the cooked one.
Am I confusing you here?
Like, I was thinking if I should use the word 'Raw yolk' or 'Yolk' is already raw itself? LOLOL Look what I found!
Urban dict didn't help much..
So, is yolk already raw itself? or it's 'Raw yolk'?
Lots of lots of love,
Mo ❤

You have to be yoking right? :P
Now you're the one that's yolking LOLOL
I’d recommend using Raw Yolk. Just using the word yolk could mean the yolk is in any form.
As an example, if you order a fried egg, the waiter/waitress will ask you “how do you want it?” They are referring to the yolk. (You have already specified you want a fried egg). The answer they are looking for is one of :
I enjoyed your post.
