Getting Started in Hydroponics

People often quiz me about my Hydroponics kit and why I purchased one. I always thought they were quite cool and I don't have much of a green thumb so hydroponics seemed like a good thing for me to get into. I happened to discover the aerogarden by dumb luck while browsing black Friday sales a few years ago. One impulse buy later I was the proud owner of a hydroponics kit.

I really like the aerogarden. The led light panel is slick and doesn't get hot while in use all day. The settings are very simple and straight forward. Pick the plant settings, growing phase and then add nutrients whenever it tells you to. Pretty easy. Another nice thing about the aerogarden is that the plant pods are guaranteed to sprout. They might take longer to sprout than expected on occasion but everyone I've planted has always grown.

If you are interested in getting one I would highly recommend watching for a sale since they are a bit pricey. Mine is a few years old so you might want to shop around and see what each company has to offer.
