While greater than 5% of Steemians live in poverty and /or countries where thousands die each year because of parasites, scientists are now trying to....
SAVE THE TICKS/LEECHES/TAPEWORMS etc
I love nature....usually. And that is likely the reason why YouTube suggested this video. I thought it was clickbait for sure. But I was wrong! (Sad face)
Yes, there is an organization that has already spent 4+ years, and who knows how much money, to see if parasite conservation can BE A THING!

Seriously though. I believe there are people in places of the world that would find it offensive that money, resources and efforts are being spent to save the mosquito or the bot fly. 
What do you think? Stupidest idea ever? No!? Right...there have been others. But this is a close 2nd/3rd!!!

I must admit, that is a pretty strange idea. I think the mosquito is probably the most dangerous creature on the face of the earth because of all the diseases that it spreads.

Every creature has their purpose, and though we like to think we know it all, we don't understand it all, or how everything connects with one another.

I find this to be a waste of tax payer money.
I understand all creatures are life and have a purpose, but ticks?I don't know one purpose they have that is beneficial; or proven beneficial.
