Magic Monday Tip, Get a Dozen New Followers Guaranteed, With This ONE SIMPLE Tip. (even if you're new)

in #howto7 years ago

Hello and welcome to "Magic Monday" where I share a tip that WILL work for anyone.

Today, I'm going to show you how to add a dozen new followers in the next 24 hours, no matter who you are. I guarantee if you follow the instructions here, you'll gain 1 dozen new fans by tomorrow! Ready?

On steemit, followers are the lifeblood of every successful blog. If you look at the follower count of anyone getting hundreds of votes per post, you'll see what I mean. Many of them have 5, 10, even 20 thousand followers.

Why?

It's simple, really, the answer is the news feed. If you go to your profile pic and click it, you'll get a drop down list. One of those items is "feed". This is a social media style news feed of all the blogs you personally follow!

So, when someone follows you, you end up in their personal feed. It's really that simple. You have a much better shot at getting someone's attention when you are one in a sea of hundreds, than one in 250k in the larger steemit universe. More eyeballs should equal more views, which leads to upvotes, comments and more followers!

What do I do?

Simple, write a tutorial!

What? but Mark, I'm brand new here! What will I write about?

Choose something you've already learned that has helped you do something on steemit, and keep it very simple. Or, you could do a review of one of my dolphinschool posts, like this one on Beating the Bandwidth Barrier.

Choose something that will help a brand new user. * I'll tell you why in a minute.

Step one write a tutorial!

Okay that's done, what next?

Step two, add it to your blog!

Put it in the howto category, add tutorial, steemiteducation, introduceyourself and dolphinschool for best results.

Step three, build a really cool comment!

I say "build" because this is going to be a copy and paste job. Yeah, I know, feels like "spam" but we're going to fix that.

  1. Write some text, like this Hey! Welcome to Steemit! I'm @markrmorrisjr and I love working with new users! I just wrote a great tips article that will help you get 24 new followers in 24 hours, find it here! Let me know if I can help in any way.
  2. Add a hyperlink with a link to your tutorial, in the comment. I know, you're going to ask me about the hyperlink. Well, if I teach you everything, you'll never grow. LOL I am going to share this tomorrow for tech Tuesday.
  3. Dress it up with HTML, I suggest using a ### tag at the beginning to make your text large and bold, to stand out. Then, maybe consider italics (put an * at each end of any line, like this *) now, watch, then I delete the spaces after the first asterisk and after "like" at each end of any line, like this

Step four copy and paste your comment!

ONLY do this for new users! Anywhere else this may be considered spam!

  1. Go to the introduce yourself category.
  2. Find a legit introduction post in the "new" section.
  3. Read, or at least scan the post!
  4. Drop your comment in the replies by clicking and pasting the whole comment in!

Do not leave yet!

You're not done. You MUST, absolutely MUST do this next part first!

If you leave now, this will not be as effective. You need to actually make a comemnt on the post you just read, like this:

Hey! Welcome to Steemit! I'm @markrmorrisjr and I love working with new users! I just wrote a great tips article that will help you get 24 new followers in 24 hours, find it here! Let me know if I can help in any way.

Should now read something like this!

Hey! Welcome to Steemit!

Looks like you've got a really fantastic resume for steemit. I see you like to share photos, check out steepshot.io for a better way to share them. Love your dog, by the way, I have three!

I'm @markrmorrisjr and I love working with new users! I just wrote a great tips article that will help you get 24 new followers in 24 hours, find it here! Let me know if I can help in any way.

If you didn't figure this out that first paragraph is based on whatever they say in their introduction. Be personal. Find a point of connection, and share a tool with them that you have found out about!

Step five, wash, rinse, repeat, x36

I said it would work, I didn't say it wouldn't be work!

The more you share, the more new friends you'll make. I hit about 60 or 70% of the people I contact. If you do 36 comments, and get 1 out of 3, you'll hit your 12! If you did this every week for a month, you'd have 50 new fans!

  • To be fair, I CANNOT guarantee a number of new followers, obviously. My profile is a sure win for new users. But, you will gain new followers, guaranteed. Want more? Leave more comments.

That's it for magic Monday!

I read this on a friday, will the "monday magic" work for me?
Just kidding, man, great way to comment on new users.
the best way I found to get more followers is to follow those who follow you. some people actually unfollow you if you don't follow them back.

resteemed x 3 posts to 865 followers

Thank you for teaching for gaining more followers. I'm looking for more tutorial post :) By the way, how can be past of @dolphinschool?

I will be announcing the next session in the coming week or two.

Thanks for letting me know. Looking forward with that session :)

Hey, I wanted to report that my upvotes are getting better and better! Thanks man. Dolphin School was awesome!

Yeah, I see you've gotten several that have gotten over 50 votes! That's great! Keep it up.

This is another wonderful tip from @dolphinschool. When I was in the #dolphinschool and we had this assignment, I followed all of the steps. My post received 20+ Upvotes and I gained followers.

Here it is if anybody would like to check it out - 5 Important Tips For Steemit Users.

Here is another tip, dont Upvote on older post. Comments are fine but if the post already had a payout you can save your voting power and your bandwidth by not Upvoting older post.

@dolphinschool, I hope it is okay to still ask for your insight. I shared a pesonal story and worked really hard on the post. I learned a lot from the course and I hope that I am able to prove that @dolphinschool is worth your time and effort. You can just come back to this comment and write 'nice post' or 'bad post', if you want. Lol

Here it is, My Supernatural Experience! Creature In The Woods - Part 1.

Thanks! I really appreciate your time and understand if you can't get to it.

@magicalmoonlight

I'll take a look after a bit. I've got some scifi stories to judge for a contest first. Thanks for sharing this! Awesome!

Thanks for the heads up @dolphinschool. Am gonna apply same ASAP

You are welcome, let me know how it goes.

I wanted to do a post on the steemit tools you showed us in the #dolphinschool challenge and afew more that I have come across, that would be really helpful to new steemians, then do what you just described.

Keep it simple. Choose three. Then you can do another one soon with the rest.

Hello guys, I am interested in getting involved with your program and possibly working together as well. I'm always up for a healthy learning experience and believe I would do well in your care :) Please check out this post and let me know if you are willing to take me in, thank you so much for the opportunity and this awesome post!

Hi, I followed @flatman on saw your post there. I have never seen this @dolpinschool before. But i will surely start following and pick up a trick our two. I also run a contest site where I put out 6 different contest each week. The start has been slow and I’m not getting as much participants as I have hoped to, if you can give any advice on how to boost this and get more action on that account I would surely be happy for some good advices. The account is @funcontest
Best regards @everydaycoach

Put it in the howto category, add tutorial, steemiteducation, introduceyourself and dolphinschool for best results.

I don't think we should encourage newbies to use the introduceyourself tag unless they are new and ready to write a post to 'introduce' themselves.

Using this tag for a tutorial post could result in the newbie being flagged by steemcleaners. If they make this a habit, they will definitely be flagged.

Well, I've been here two years, not on this profile obviously, and there's not a rule against it. the self appointed spam police can just suck it.

I know but our newbies may not know they shouldn’t use that tag. I just saw a newbie tagged for it and he hadn’t known he should’nt. With experience comes responsibility, right?

Only reason I pointed it out is because I’m with the #newbieresteemday initiative and we volunteer some time to help out the newbies. I thought you were one since your rep is at 40, and didnt want you to get in trouble (and unknowingly sharing this info).

There is no "trouble" to get in. You could lose a rep point, and maybe a payout, but they have zero authority to do it, and the content I'm suggesting is useful to plankton. Thanks for your input. I'll take it under advisement.

And seriously "our newbies?" you've been here five minutes. Come back in a year and say that again. LOL

Yes, haven’t been on here long and am still considered a newbie myself. What I mean is our newbies that we work with in the #newbieresteemday initiative. Some have been on with less time than myself. The more ‘experienced’ members try to help with what we can.

I'm not part of that, so the way you're addressing this is a little offputting. You've made your point, and I heard you. I just don't agree with you. Thanks.

My intention was not to offend. I do apologize if I addressed it inappropriately. Thanks for letting me know my input was heard. Best of luck with the dolphinschool.
