For us, homesteading seems like a great way to control more of the foods that we eat in order to make sure that it is "safe for human consumption." In Part 7, I will share about my self-employed goals. Stay tuned!

As the old saying goes, you are tomorrow what you eat today. We can't trust anyone with our food, if you don't grow or raise it yourself you really don't know what your eating.

What would you say would be the easiest crop to grow that stays the longest after harvesting?
Man, I've never thought about that. Perhaps a winter squash or potato, off the top of my head. Those are just guesses, though. Very good question!

In this age, it is very difficult to choose and prepare a healthy supply of food for the body, because there are so many food had mixed with preservatives, even vegetables are not hygienic because the process of planting and growth is not natural, the vegetable farmers chose to spray drugs to thrive, but it makes a vegetables are contaminated with chemicals.

I believe is high time people go back to organic farming were organic maNure is used in growing homestead food for consumption rather than artificial stuff been used to make it grow rapidly and causes damage to the system
