Simple Aquaponics Projects For Homesteaders
In past I have shared some of the simple aquaponics projects. But a lot of them required some material that costs some money. And if you are homesteader that would not be a right project for you. So in this curation post I am trying to list some of the projects that cost less and you can build them without having to spend much money. If you have made your own project like this do let me know I may list it in the future posts on the topic.
Take a look at some of the cheap aquaponics projects.
For those with the limited space and the money, this plan is perfect for them. Here you don't have to buy anything that costs much. Whatever you can find from home should be more than enough in such case for buiding the basic system. It can be also good for the small garden too. Do note that initially you have to experiment a little for the water requirement. But this plan is a good to go for starters.

Aquaponics System with Fish Tank
There are some plans that make use of both aquaponics and fish tank. Though don't expect all the aquaponics plans to specifically made for the fish tank. If you are doing breeding for specific big or small fish. Then such tanks can be self sustained using the plans such as this. And they can put you in much more control for the fish tank cost and overall aquaponics cost. So worth checking out this plan.

I'm usually against animal confinement in any way, but aquaponics can be so damn effective compared to conventional or ecological farming... Especially if you don't eat the fish at all.
My dream is to scale it up to pond size to allow maximum space for fish and other aquatic creatures like turtles and frogs. It should put out hectoleters of liquid fertilizer for earthless vertical greenhouse beds. Have you seen anything like that @myscrible?

Man made ponds that simulate natural environments usually have diverse ecological communities inside, on the surface and on the outside, all producing different fertilizers. I want to cross that concept with aquaponics for maximum efficiency!
