Escape from the Homestead!
That's right! It may not sound like a Homesteaders mantra, but sometimes you've just got to get out! Enjoy.
Animal husbandry has its ups and downs. It takes time and a compassionate personality. Although it requires daily work on our part, from time to time we manage to get away to do something other than our daily chores.
We have wonderful friends in our community, 2 of whom are by far the busiest people we know!
Our good friends Wayne & Linda do uncountable things for the community, not the least of which is running the Church, a History museum, and taking care of those who need it the most.
One of the things they do is run the facility you see here in these pictures and it's one of our favorite places to go. Here you can spend hours just looking at all the amazing finds and little gems that are hidden away awaiting your discovery.
You'll find music books, furniture, even a gas powered helicopter! Kitchen wares, books, and uncountable Christmas trees, ornaments, and antiques of all sorts!
No, Leo isn't an antique....he's just well preserved!
Do you have a place like this near you? If you do we bet it's run by caring people just like Wayne & Linda!
I know this feeling but once I'm gone or out and about the thought of home warms my heart yet again. Enjoyed!
