Product Spotlight Series #17 - Organic Herb Mascara
Since my boyfriend worked a 12 hour shift (eww) on Valentine’s, we decided to celebrate just this past weekend. I love Valentine’s Day and it was a special occasion so I decided to wear a little makeup. One of the features that I like to enhance the most are my eyelashes (or lack thereof) so I wore my Organic Herb Mascara from DabHerbMakeup on Etsy!
I actually purchased this mascara last year and have worn it so infrequently that I can still manage to scrape some from the sides of the bottle! I searched for mascaras made in Wisconsin so it would have less distance to ship to me, but couldn’t find a decent looking option at the time. So I decided on this product from DabHerbMakeup in California because of the organic ingredients and rave reviews.
This mascara is 99% food grade with no mica or oxides. The ingredients include:

- Sunflower Lecithin,

- Raw Hemp Seed Oil*

I’m also happy they have a trial size available because I use makeup so rarely nowadays. So this 3.5mL bottle for $6.00 was slightly expensive but lasted me a very long time!
The only complaint I have is that the mascara flakes slightly over time. I have to check the mirror occasionally to make sure there are no black flecks beneath my eyes but other than that, it works well! It also smells amazing - every time I blink, I catch a hint of flowers and herbs! It’s very light and refreshing!
Overall I rate Organic Herb Mascara from DabHerbMakeup four out of five stars!

I couldn't get a good shot of my own eye, but these are pictures they included in the product listing -
Personally I think it does work very nicely, but it has a tendency to flake slightly throughout the day!
