Why am I still Hodling?

If you sell you lose the coins and probably make a loss on your money. If you have the chance, buy some more. I think of this as a major sale.
Two years ago I would have thought the same. Now I wonder if there is still so much enthusiasm about the coins around. I love this community but I see that a lot of people who were part of this last year left and sold everything.
I follow my instincts. Big money is coming (ETFs etc.), but they will buy when it's on sale. The 'little' people start to get interested (again) when prices skyrocket. Personally a no brainer for me.
If your investment don't make any income generated, thats mean you are keeping some stone into your safe and locker. Thus people leave here by sold out what they hold since few years ago.
Yep I am holding for more than 2 years. I just wonder how everyone can sell now.. I need money but I seriously don't want to stop hodling :-/
It's just the periodic cleansing ritual in the crypto-sphere...
Now is the time where you can see who's here for the content and who just came for profits...

@yoganarchista, I've Hodling only Steem and that is because, I've joined Steemit Platform with ZERO Investment but yet today i am an Minnow just by powering up my 50 to 60 %rewards, so it's telling the half story.
And Steem have so much potential because so many communities are backing this Platform, so that tells it's effectivity.
And Crypto Sphere is dynamic, so we have to understand that aspect and there will be ups and downs because there are many aspects for that but the main aspect is, market is emotionally driven.
So in my opinion, Crypto Sphere will be back soon, and specially in Steem Economy we already heard about the Hardfork 20 launch, and now SMT dates are also announced, so in my opinion in Steem Economy some exciting times are ahead.

Hi @yoganarchista, I know you have best knowledge about cryptocurrency market. So you have knowledge already how those market working & movement. HODL better for next price bounce after launch SMT.
I am curious to see that launch. I know cryptos are having their swings. But at the moment it feels like everyone is just selling and I am the stupid last person who holds on to the idea of decentralized money and therefore looses all she has :D
I think prices may come back at some point and my account is so small that I don't have a lot to lose so I am hanging on to the little bit that I have. Plus, despite the low prices, I have actually been doing a little better here than I was when the prices were high so I don't want to stop my SP growth at the moment.
There is more though. I think it is never a good idea to panic too early, although I certainly underatand why people who hold a lot of steem or any cryptocurrency are starting to worry right now.
Hehe yep you are right ;) I would also like to see my SP growing. A lot of my readers and voters have moved on I think, thats why I am experiencing this in a different way. Yet I still don't want to give up cryptos :)
I think we are all having that problem a little. I went through the people that I am following and most of them have not posted anything for a month or more. Hopefully some of them come back though.
@yoganarchista I am still holding because I belive in blockchain network and cryptocurrency.I know it is having bright future,this period is just the bad phase for cryptocurrency,but it will not stay longer.
Thank you for supporting cryptocurrencies with your believe. For me it is a hard time at the moment because I am really in need of money but at the same time this would be the worst time to cash out because I think it will recover :(
I feel the exact same way. A block-chain is nothing but a fancy word for arrays. Arrays are data structures that's nothing new for programmers. So overall it still feels like media hype for pump and dump by whales after the commoners buy enough for the price to sky rocket. Its easy to become pessimistic. But then again i think about how the capitalism around us is milking mutual fund investments , till literally there is milk in the cow ... so i guess crypto isnt dying for sure overall. I just wish i hadnt fallen for most altcoins ... and specially scams like bitconnect... i dont call myself stupid , just rather underprivileged , because knowledge is a privilege itself... including even basic education
