Do you know how to make 100,000$ in three months?

Yesterday, my daughter, Rebecca, asked me the question, "Do you know how to make 100,000$ in three months?" What she actually was asking was, "Did I know how she could make 100,000$ in three months!" My response was that it would take a few days to come up with a plan.

The important thing to remember is that get rich quick schemes do not work. However making money quickly is easy. I once was visited by a woman whose husband had been injured and would never be able to work again. She worked as a clerk in a store making minimum wage. She asked, "What she could do?", and I countered with "What did she know?" Her reply to that was "Teacups!" In Canada, people will sell unwanted items in something called a "Garage Sale" or at places called a "Flea Market." Ebay was just starting, and showed her how to use it. I met up with her after a year and asked how she was doing. At the time, minimum wage was about $20 000 per year. She had earned $40 000 selling "teacups" on eBay. Her best sales a teapot she had bought for $5 at a flea market and she sold for $5 000 on eBay. She really did know teacups. The last time I met up with her was about three years later. She owned three houses that she rented out to people.
