Dumpling Hot Pot

눈을 뜨니 비가 내리고 있었다. 밖에 있는 것들은 잠을 자다가 비를 맞겠지 싶었다. 날개 달린 새들, 곤충들, 나무들, 꽃들... 자는데 뺨에 팔 다리에 비가 쏟아지면 어떤 기분이 들까. 샤워 물줄기 밑에서 오랜 시간을 보내는 나는 학교 다닐 때 우산이 없다는 핑계로 일부러 비를 맞으면서 하교하곤 했다.

How would you feel if raindrops fell on your arms and legs while sleeping? Spending a long time under the shower, I used to go to school in the rain on purpose under the pretext of not having an umbrella when I was young.

거실 커튼을 열자 나무 가지에서 움트고 있는 연두빛 싹들이 보였다. 며칠 전 데려온 히아신스도 꽃을 피웠고. 차가운 공기가 거실 안으로 불어오자 나는 따끈하고 시원한 국물을 먹고 싶었다. 오늘 메뉴는 소고기와 버섯, 청경재, 그리고 프라이팬에 구운 두부가 올라간 만두전골.

When I opened the curtains in the living room, I could see the green shoots that were shrinking from the branches of the tree. The hyacinth that I bought a few days ago also blossomed. As the cold air blew into the living room, I wanted to eat hot soup. Today's menu is beef, mushroom, bokyungjae, and dumpling hot pot with grilled tofu on it.
