Good day everyone. It's the 3rd week of Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 4 and here is my entry for the theme for this week's contest from this community is "Are People Made or Born" hosted by @steem-cameroon

INTRODUCTION

We all have various talents and skills, some of which are inborn while others are developed through practice and experience. No matter our talent, it is vital to develop it to the best of our ability. Everyone is endowed in his or her way, Some of us are exceptional entertainers while there are outstanding mathematicians, some are proficient communicators while there are dreamers, thinkers and artists. Some of us are good at practical duties while others are excellent thinkers.

WHAT IS TALENT?

Talent is something that you naturally do well, and can be identified by your natural abilities. Examples include writing, cycling, swimming, dancing, singing, playing football etc.

You don't even have to try much to do it, which is how you know that it comes easy to you.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IN-BORN AND SELF-LEARNED TALENT?

Inborn or natural Talent is something you have, and it's the result of being born with a natural ability to do something. It's not something that you have to work hard at or practice to get good at—it just comes naturally to you. You don’t have to work hard at it or think about it. You just do it!

On the other hand, if It's not something that you have to work hard at or practice to get good at, then that's just a self-trained skill.

A Self-Trained skill is not to be considered a talent to me as it is an acquired ability, through learning with effort.

A good example would be how effortlessly you see Messi play football, it comes out of him flowing through his veins, and all he does is have fun, on the other hand, is Ronaldo, who trains day and night to get to where he is. Don't get me wrong, they are all talented but one is inborn while the latter is self-trained.

Talent is something that people admire and look up to as an example of how amazing we all can be if only we put our minds together in the right way and focus on what matters most: ourselves!

GIVE ILLUSTRATIONS OF THE DIFFERENT TALENTS

There are different kinds of talents and different people who are blessed with this variation of talents.

For example, if you are a gifted writer, when you write you rarely need to edit much. If your writing is good enough for publishing and it comes out well in the end, then it was worth the time spent on it.

If your writing needs more work than this (or even if there isn't a noticeable difference in quality) then that's not talent, that's just practice!

If you have creative writing talent. You can write a paragraph that's funny, sad, or moving. It's all about the details of your story and how you tell it that makes it good.

Your sentences flow effortlessly and your paragraphs make sense.

If You have math talent. The numbers don't lie: numbers are really important to us all (see: "theory"). Whether we're talking about money or time management skills, there's something about math that makes our lives easier (or more stressful). Plus it helps us become better communicators with each other because we understand what others are saying based on what they've said before...

This is a talent.

If you naturally love making people laugh, that's a talent for comedy.

There are many ways to make yourself laugh: watching funny movies, reading funny books and magazines, talking with friends who make you smile—the possibilities are endless! But making others laugh is a whole different ball game, as you can not tell their problems.

And if you're looking for a career that lets you use your sense of humour every day at work (or in your spare time), then this could be the right path for you.

That is, if you are good at seeing potential solutions to a problem, that's an analytical talent.

Let's say you are a good candidate for the role of Talent Manager. Your job will be to help others find their talents and develop them so that they can do great work. What if you're not naturally good at this? What if it's something that makes you uncomfortable or unfulfilling?

One might think that being good at talent development means being able to identify someone's talent and then guide them through the process of developing it. But there's another way—a less common one-that can give us an understanding of how people learn new skills: by observing others who are already gifted at using those skills in their daily lives. This kind of observation is called "Observation Learning" _source

This way, people develop their talent by taking lessons from somebody who is already skilled in that area.

Whether your talent is for writing or humour or math, it is something that brings you joy. It’s not a chore to do; it doesn’t get old; and even if you don't use your talents every day in your job, they still bring satisfaction and fulfilment when used within themselves.

Talent is something that comes easy to you, like writing or helping others create solutions. It might be in an area of life where there are no rules—like music or art—and it can be used by anyone who wants to learn more about how they use their talents in the world around them.

HOW CAN YOU IDENTIFY TALENT?

There are many ways to identify talent in yourself or others. You might think about whether or not someone has "talent." The first step toward identifying your talents is recognizing what's already in your life;
what kind of things is easy for you?
What makes them fun?
What gives them meaning?

If all goes well, these should be some clues as to which talents might be worth pursuing further.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR TALENT (LET US KNOW IF IT IS IN-BORN OR LEARNED)

A handful of people would say that talented people are adorned with artistic or musical and high academic skills. I am convinced to say that I am promising at academics and sports; nonetheless, I would say that my biggest talent is being a relatively fast learner with the potential to up my abilities quickly. I constantly look for means to continuously improve my abilities through development opportunities.

It doesn't take me much time to learn anything I have set my mind to, be it academics, life or sports (except football, Lol). This is an inborn talent as I can not explain how I got it and it comes easy without me stressing.

CONCLUSION

At the end we can say, people are born as there are those with the productive ability inborn with them, then also there are those who are made because they learn to nurture and develop a skill by themselves.

Talent/skill is a valuable aspect of anyone and everyone, thus should be nurtured and improved to its full capacity.

The good news is that talent is something you can learn to harness, so you don't have to be limited by your natural abilities. The bad news is that even if you do manage to learn some new tricks, there will always be other things that are outside your control.
