Steem Cameroon Contest - My Short Movie Script: Horror (A Visit to the Wood)

Another wonderful contest here in the community and it is a pleasure to share my participation in it. The previous one talks about disagreement in the market square and this one talks about horror.

I love horror movies the most because of the painting used for the characters involved. I have also acted in horror parts in our church drama group and that part is indeed interesting. Most people get scared of it though but I don't.

The title of the movie I will be playing via writing is Encounter with the two strange beings. On a very good day, Okon was asked to go alongside his peers to get water since they are also going for the water at that period due to a lack of electricity to pump the borehole.

Before the borehole was erected, the people of the village usually go to kori a place where water comes out from the rock to fetch water. The place was always busy but when the borehole was erected in some parts of the village they all abandoned it.

It came a time when there were electricity issues and the borehole had no water then they all had to fall back to kori a place they have abandoned for a while. Okon was supposed to follow his friend to get the water at that moment but forgot something and then hurried home to get it.

Before he would return, the friends left. He decided to run as fast as his legs can take him to catch up with them but couldn't see them along the way. On reaching the place, since it was a valley he stood at the hill and called out for his friends but heard silent.

He decided to come down and check. As he was coming down, he saw two strange beings calling on him to come down. He stood where he was shivering because he have never seen such people in the village before. Okon decided to take a reversal and then started running.

As he ran, both beings ran after him. He finally got to a point where his strength failed and then fell to his feet. They came so close to taking him when the friends shouted his name and asked what happens to him. They never saw the beings chasing after him and that was how okon explained what he saw in the stream when he went to get water.
