Roland Bocquet has his roots in psychedelic rock band Catharsis which was a leader. Group was very active between 1969 and 1977, releasing 7 solo LPs, two LPs with poet Bernard Verley and at least 15 EPs or singles. After this journey, he stepped on the path of solo carrier as a soundtrack composer and new music producer, experimenting with electronic and native instruments. Effects of his experiments are often exposed as an interesting mixture of ambient, jazz, blues, funk, folk, rock, synthpop and italo. Very unique vibe, characteristic for crazy space disco, sounds stimulating trippy heads almost 40 years ago. Roland Bocquet during his solo activity between 1977 and 1983 has released 3 Long Play albums and 3 EPs and then he disappeared for years. It has to pas more than three decades before his debut Paradia LP got resurrected by Fifth Dimension label.
