SEC-S18W6:Once upon a time when I was a child!

It is my misfortune that I do not have any photo of my childhood now, as a result of a long life all the photos have been destroyed or have been worn away by time, and anyway, there was no custom of taking many photos in that period.

But still today I will tell you a wonderful and memorable story of my childhood which includes my childish foolishness, mischiefs and innocence.

At that time I must have been about 7-8 years old. There was a field in our colony to play which was surrounded by a mango orchard. We, a group of 10-12 children of about the same age, used to play various childish games and mischiefs in this field almost every day.

One day we decided that today we all will form a group and fight, in this way we will hide under the trees or climb the trees and attack the members of the enemy group with our weapons.

Coincidentally, there were only 5 members in my group, all of them were hiding in the dense trees, and I had a self-made bow and arrow as my weapon. I had made the arrows of this bow and arrow by making bamboo sticks pointed from the front.

I often used this bow and arrow to scare away pigeons and crows from the roof of my house. But I had no idea about the lethal power of its arrows.

And that day when I saw a member of my enemy team hiding behind a tree, I shot an arrow at him from my bow. My arrow hit the target and I saw that the arrow entered the lip of my enemy friend [who was also my best friend] and blood started coming out of his mouth.

I was shocked to see this and I was scared to much. I started thinking that today my father will beat me up and my friend's father is also going to say very bad things about me.

But my friend showed courage and told me not to be afraid at all, this was a part of the game, hearing this I felt relieved.

Then I ran to my house and brought some cotton and other things from the first aid box. Using my intelligence, I first used antiseptic/bleeding dettol to stop his bleeding and then applied body powder used in homes to stop the bleeding.

After a lot of effort, his bleeding stopped but his upper lip was swollen. I was still scared from inside and tears were flowing from my eyes.

But my friend showed courage and went home and told that while he was playing, a sharp branch of a tree hit his lip, due to which he got injured and his friend i.e. I helped him in stopping his bleeding.

And in this way my life was also saved, even after so many years of this incident, my friend keeps making me laugh by remembering it, and also enjoys himself.
