Thursday, we are 16 days away from ending this year. Today is the day of the week that I usually go grocery shopping at a fair near my house. I went shopping early because the sky was cloudy, and we had a weather forecast that indicated a high probability of thunderstorms. It was good that we cooked early too, as the electrical service has become unstable, I guess it's because it's raining somewhere nearby and our power lines are in a poor state of maintenance.
One thing I want to share is a photo of the #cat Vero, who for some peculiar reason, likes to climb on top of us and climb up to our shoulders, a cousin said that she seems to have 'pirate parrot complex', in what personally, I joked that she sees us as if we were walking trees, the kind that appear in #fantasy stories, in the style of the 'Ent' from the 'Lord of the Rings' movie.

Jueves, estamos a 16 días de terminar este año. Hoy es el día de la semana que suelo ir de comprar de víveres en una feria cercana a la casa. Fui de compras temprano porque el cielo estaba nublado y teníamos una previsión climatológica que indicaba altas probabilidades de lluvias tormentosas. Fue bueno que cocináramos temprano también, pues el servicio eléctrico se ha vuelto inestable, supongo que será porque está lloviendo en alguna parte cercana y nuestro tendido eléctrico está en un pobre estado de mantenimiento.
Una cosa que quiero compartir es una foto de la #gata Vero, que por alguna razón peculiar, tiene el gusto de subirse encima de nosotros y trepar hasta el hombro, un primo dijo que parece que tenía ‘complejo de loro pirata’, en lo personal, yo bromeé que ella nos ve como si fuéramos árboles caminantes, de esos que salen en historia de #fantasia, al estilo de los ‘Ent’ de la película del ‘Señor de los Anillos’.

Anyway, I think we spoil her very much, much more than we spoil the house dog, called Novata (newbie, in spanish). Earlier, I was commenting in days gone by that Vero used to get into my jacket to sleep, so I nicknamed her 'Marsupial Cat', but since she's a bit older, I guess she's already 'leveled up' in her cat species, and now she'll be that has the idea of being a cartoon or anime cat, one of those that climbs on the shoulder and is a characteristic part of characters from some series.

En fin, creo que la tenemos muy consentida, mucho más de lo que consentimos a la perrita de la casa, llamada Novata. Anteriormente, yo comentaba en días pasados que Vero solía meterse en mi chaqueta para dormir, así que la apodé ‘Gata Marsupial’, pero como está un poquito más crecida, supongo que ya ‘subió de nivel’ en su especie gatuna, y ahora será que tiene idea de ser una gata de caricatura o Anime, de esos que se suben al hombro y son parte característica de personajes de algunas series.

Por cierto, todo este relato que hago en este registro, se relaciona con el título de hoy, porque justamente, entre las diversas efemérides de la #Historia, me encontré que es el Día Mundial del Otaku, sí, hay un #DíaMundialDelOtaku. El término, hasta donde sé, tuvo una connotación muy negativa en sus inicios y se refería a fanáticos obsesivos y peligroso que llegaban al extremo de cometer crímenes atroces por su objeto de obsesión, todo esto por una serie de crímenes ocurrida en #Japon y que tuvo en su momento mucha repercusión en los medios. Por eso, el término tiene aún una connotación negativa en ese país, a pesar de que en el resto del mundo se toma de manera mas positiva y se relaciona con el #Manga y el #Anime.
Con el paso del tiempo, y la internacionalización de las producciones de animación japonesa (Anime), se empleó el término para la masa de seguidores de este estilo y arte de ilustración y #comiquitas, que resulta ser bastante amplio en su estilo artístico y en sus giros argumentales. Puedo decir que fui de los que vio en señal de #Television abierta series de Anime en los inicios de los años 80 del siglo pasado. By the way, this celebration is an unofficial date, it is not recognized by any international organization, rather it is an initiative of different groups that over the decades have tried to recognize it. I found it interesting, and it brought back memories of my youth, plus it was funny that the photo I took today of the cat with an old character from the old #TV Series 'Dragon Ball' fit together

Por cierto, esta celebración es una fecha no oficial, no está reconocida por algún organismo internacional, mas bien es una iniciativa de distintos grupos que a lo largo de las décadas han intentado su reconocimiento. Yo lo encontré interesante y me trajo recuerdos de mi juventud, ademas de que me resultó gracioso que encajara la foto que tomé hoy de la gata con un viejo personaje de la vieja Serie de #TV ‘Dragon Ball’
