Oh how I love the Christmas, is always time of merriment , time to travel,time to visit friends and family,time to be free from work . It's already here and the weather is showing forth the signs that comes with Christmas.

The season is here but the preparations are yet to start, from ending of November the government of my state will set up a beautiful place for entertainment,this place is called Christmas village , hunts are build for rent and people rent to display their goods . During this time a lot of activities are done, villages come with their cultural dance, food , masquerade it's always a center of attraction, citizens from far and near celebrate this gesture from government because it's something that showcase the state to the whole world.

Christmas tree and bright shining lights are common decorations things. That I use in my house, the box where I kept the lights are intact my Christmas tree on the other hand has been destroyed by my children, I'm hoping to have another one to replace the spoilt one.

No place like home , marriage took me to another state which makes my traveling seasonal or occasional , if I could be traveling this season there will be no other better place than my home town.

I have so many reasons of making my home town my traveling base this Christmas.

• Reunion. I am popularly known in my hometown unlike my husband side ,so traveling this season will help me meet so many people that I grow up with.

• Best cultural display. No town can be compared to my town when it comes to Christmas cultural display. Being there will be all round fun for me.

• Unique food. We are known for Ofe Owerri , this is number delicacy in my hometown and during this season we don't joke with it, every house prepares it with their last kobo just for the Christmas.

This season has it's way of being favourable to everyone, I can tell from my angle that there are more open doors this season. I hope to enjoy every bit of the season with my friends,well wishers, and my family.
