Traveling to Shahpur Dam Near Islamabad| Meet Steemit Friend
Assalamu alaikum everyone I hope you all are doing well I am here to share my first travelling driving game. I always loved to travel & visit new places to discover new things about them. During this summer vacation, I was at my sister's home in Islamabad & I must say it's my second favourite city after the northern areas.
We tried to visit the northern areas again but my sister couldn't get enough time to visit there we found a spot near that was famous & playful for kids too. We tried from last week that visit this spot but couldn't visit due to my brother in law job.
But today we finally decided to go there as the kids also want to play in a new place. Today we decided to visit the Shahpur Dam near Fateh Jhang. We didn't know the exact location of Shahpur Dam but my sister's colleagues told her that it's near Fateh Jhang & also has parks for kids.
We decided to leave near 5 pm as there was no area for resting under shadow if we left in the morning or afternoon. We keep some fruits, water & kids milk with us as we don't how much time it will take to find the Dam & secondly, the time we spend there. It was a pleasure to discover a new area to visit & I hope we will like it too.
We asked different people about the Shahpur Dam, they said it's on the road & you will find it easily. But it wasn't that easy honestly. First, we reached a spot where there was a village below & it's like the top of that village & couldn't find a way to reach the dam even though it was visible from that spot.
Then we moved back & asked some old citizens to tell us the correct route to Shahpur Dam. Then they guided us & we followed that way & we found it in 5 minutes. It was near to us but we don't know the exact location that's why it takes time to reach there. The best thing was I met my steemit friend @drhira there & she was also enjoying herself with her family.
It was a pleasure meeting to meet her 3 months after her daughter's birthday party. We click some pictures there & spend an amazing time with her & her little cutie. Honestly, it was not a very good place to visit because we didn't see many people there & no management for water clearance maybe army clean area near them because there was an army area near to the dam.
The fishes become dead due to overheating & most of them were floating near to edge of the Dam. The dead fishing caused foul-smelling near the area but the view was good to capture as the hills behind them & wooden cottages there, people living there without electricity connection but they all have solar panels for electricity.
We stay there for an hour & then move back home without eating fruits & drinking water. It was not a good experience & don't recommend but they said this area is rushy on Friday & Sunday so, maybe it would be better to visit on those days to enjoy more.
This was my experience with the Shahpur Dam. I hope you all enjoy reading it & before visiting any area try to get some more information, especially about location & environment.
