CONTEST ENRTY ON WHAT I HAVE DONE OR I AM DOING TO PROMOTE STEEMIT BY @bibsonhabib
This seems like a lovely contest and I would like to partake in it. Steemit has played a very crucial role in terms of my well being: more particularly the financial aspect of my life over the past year.
I am Mohammed Habib a final year student of the University for Development Studies studying Bsc Computer Science. I come from the northern part of Ghana; precisely Tamale.
I joined Steemit in March,2021 and this is what I have done to promote the Steemit blockchain.
Let’s get started.
Posting and Sharing Steemit Flyers
This was one one of the easiest way to promote Steemit since most of the people around me were students and loved to research and read more. I went from hostel to hostel posting the flyers and also meeting and gifting random people flyers.

I was able to register some of the random people I gave the flyers. Majority of the questions I encountered during this adventure was “does it require I deposit money”, “can you withdraw the money”, “do you have to refer or signup someone before you earn”.
I tried to the best of my capacity to explain to them that steemit is free and will always be.
Signing Up a Newbie
From my flyer sharing, I came across a particular guy who was much interested in learning more about what was on the flyer.
He decided to follow me to my hostel for me to assist him create and account to get started. I took him through the whole account creation process and guided him to write his Achievement 1 post.

I also educated him on how important his steemit keys are and how he can store them safely.

Awareness Creation
This happened during my attachment at the Tamale Technical University which was in September 2021.
Our supervisor proposed a knowledge sharing session for all of the attatchees to share a little of what they know to the rest.I decided to share to them the steemit blockchain.
With the help of a projector I took them through the Steemit blockchain to explain some certain key things.

Most of them still couldn’t believe you could earn money from Steemit just by writing quality posts. I guided them to create their Steemit accounts and also took them through on how to write their Achievement 1 post.

Accepting Steem as a Means of Payment
I am the owner of HAB’S CLOSETon the steemvirtual store where I deal in hoodies and trousers.
I decided to add steem to my mode of payment since most of my customers were on this platform. @chenty and @wonderbowy all patronized my items and paid in steem.
