Una Historia de Amor en el Bosque

Un fin de semana especial había llegado para Karen quien por fin después de una larga semana de estudios podría disfrutar con sus amigos, ese fin de semana decidieron ir al bosque pues ya la nieve se estaba retirando y ellos querían pasar aunque fuera un solo día en el bosque donde siempre jugaron desde pequeños.

Se encontrarían en la plaza del pueblo, Luis, Karen, Martha, Amelia, y Tony los 5 amigos inseparables de la infancia, tenían un mes que no se veían y ahora es que habían historias que contar. Uno a uno fueron llegando y reuniéndose felices de verse nuevamente, algo que Karen no sabía era que su amigo Tony estaba locamente enamorado de ella y el pobre no sabía cómo decírselo por eso él quería aprovechar esta oportunidad para declararse.

Al fin todos reunidos se montaron en el bus que los dejaría cerca donde está el camino del bosque, comenzaron a caminar adentrándose al bosque, donde vieron la nieve que ya casi se volvía agua, para ellos era algo normal pues siempre o se está yendo la nieve o había mucha grama, no tardaron en parar en el medio del bosque donde se podían ver muchos árboles juntos, decidieron quedarse donde estaba el más grade y allí abrieron una carpa, pues pensaban pasar todo el día allí hasta que fueran las 7 de la noche.

Eran ya las 11:30am y ellos no dejaban de contarse como les había ido en la universidad, de repente Tony le dice a Karen que lo acompañe al arrollo que estaba cerca en lo que Martha salta diciendo que ella quiere ir y luego Luis también decide que quiere ir, pero Amelia decide quedarse a cuidar las cosas, fueron los cuatro juntos al llegar al arroyo tratan de cruzar por unas piedras pero Karen tropieza y cae en el agua, pero como el agua no era profunda todo comenzaron a reírse y Tony trato de ayudarla pero como cosa de juego terminaron los 2 juntos en el agua, Martha y Luis comenzaron a tirarse agua.

De repente Tony la Mira fijamente a los ojos y le dice susurrando “Te amo” Karen al no escuchar le contesta ¿qué? Y él le repite “te amo” ¿quieres ser mi novia? Karen quedo atónita ella sentía algo por el pero nunca lo había dicho, sonrío y le dio un sí rotundo.

Ese día todos los amigos celebraron su romance pues todos sabían que entre ellos había química, pero ambos eran tímidos.

Ese fue el día, del comienzo de una gran Historia de amor, que aún resuena en mi mente, pues es la historia de mis padres Karen y Tony, quien desde aquel día ya tienen 43 años juntos, ellos le llaman una historia de amor en el bosque.

A Love Story in the Forest

A special weekend had arrived for Karen who finally after a long week of studies could enjoy with her friends, that weekend they decided to go to the forest because the snow was already retreating and they wanted to spend even one day in the forest where they always played since they were little.

Luis, Karen, Martha, Amelia, and Tony, the five inseparable friends from their childhood, had a month that they could not see each other and now there were stories to tell. One by one they were arriving and meeting up happy to see each other again, something that Karen didn't know was that her friend Tony was madly in love with her and the poor man didn't know how to tell her so he wanted to take this opportunity to propose.

At last, all of them got on the bus that would leave them near the path to the forest, they began to walk into the forest, where they saw the snow that was almost turning into water, for them it was something normal because either the snow is always going away or there was a lot of grass, it didn't take long to stop in the middle of the forest where you could see many trees together, they decided to stay where the biggest one was and there they opened a tent, because they planned to spend the whole day there until it was 7 o'clock at night.

It was already 11 o'clock: 30am and they kept telling each other how they had done in the university, suddenly Tony tells Karen to go with him to the stream that was close by where Martha jumps saying that she wants to go and then Luis also decides that he wants to go, but Amelia decides to stay and take care of things, The four of them tried to cross over some rocks when they reached the creek but Karen tripped and fell into the water, but since the water was not deep, they started laughing and Tony tried to help her but as a game thing they ended up in the water together, Martha and Luis started throwing water at each other.

All of a sudden Tony looks at her and whispers "I love you". Karen, when she doesn't hear him, answers, "What? And he repeats "I love you". Karen was astonished and felt something for him, but she had never said it before.

That day all the friends celebrated their romance because they all knew that there was chemistry between them, but they were both shy.

That was the day, of the beginning of a great love story, that still resounds in my mind, because it is the story of my parents Karen and Tony, who since that day are 43 years old together, they call it a love story in the forest.
