Some new unusual herbs to join the family

in WORLD OF XPILAR2 years ago (edited)

Of course I don't like having to go sit in the walk in centre for 2 hours every day to wait for my turn to get my dressing changed which, takes 2 minutes but I am enjoying the push to get out and about every day, walk through the park and find new things. Today as I was walking back I popped into the local garden centre and saw they had some new unusual herbs, unusual to me anyways. I found this pineapple sage which, actually really does smell like pineapple very strongly and is delicious, I got some Angelica, lemon sage and then hyssop. I adore the scent hyssop I spray it around a lot, it's one of the few essential oils named in the bible several times. These might not be rare other places, but pineapple sage is totally new for me. Has anyone tried this? I think it is quite rampant in other countries.

I haven't tasted it as a herb yet thou. I just hope all the little babies take.

I have decided to focus a lot more on herbs and flowers this year for salads and sage sticks. I have tried to grow some veggies for two years but I know it is possible to grow on a balcony but I really just gave up for now. I found I was getting enough for two green juices over the whole summer and a few tomatoes lol. It is very very hot out there, things get eaten and if I don't water them every single day they wilt. I just can't keep up with it really but herbs are much easier so this has become more of my focus till I have a garden. Here are a few of the bits I have on the go at the moment:

lots of sage:

Greetings @ultravioletmag It is certainly great to have you back here on the platform. I have seen pineapple sage in a herb garden in Brixton but I have never had my own plant or cooked with it. I am quite familiar with lemon thyme. About two months ago I bought a Mediterranean thyme tree which looks stunning but it is quite tricky to look after. I love your solar lights, I also have some. I decided to nominate your post for Nominate and get Rewarded: 15% Trial Upvote, (Nomination Day 92) I wish you all the best of luck in the nomination challenge. I also invite you to visit my latest article here in the WORLD OF XPILAR #club5050 (Semi) Final Day Enjoy the rest of the day.

Nice cute Little plants
