WOX Travel Contest | Week 3
Hello my steemians friends,
I too have made up my mind to say something, on Contest organized by @o1eh on world of xpiler WOX Travel Contest | Seeing Week 3,
Last year I went on an excursion to some hilly areas in our own car with a friend and his wife, the routes to these places were very pleasant. Traveling through hilly winding roads with deep gorges on one side and harsh mountains on the other side, we enjoyed our journey by visiting different places for 6 days.
Meanwhile, my friend and I had also taken some rare pictures of those places, which I am showing here.
1- The first picture is of the main gate of Christ Church Kasauli, but in those days it was forbidden to take pictures inside the church.
2-This second picture is of the "Hidamba Devi Temple" located in Manali. This temple is a very famous temple, built during the Mahabharata period of Indian civilization about 3102 BC , every year millions of people come from abroad to see it.
3- This third picture is in the middle of the way from Manali to Rohtang Pass, all the mountains on the way are covered with thick layers of ice for 12 months.
4- This fourth picture is of the source of a special water stream, which comes down from the peaks of the mountains, its specialty is that this water stream is very pure, and always remains cool, in comparison to this water packed mineral water also fail. There is always a line to take and drink this water.
5-The fifth picture is of a mountain river coming out from the side of the pilgrimage site of Sikhs named Mani Karan Sahib, the water of this river has the effect of sulfur and people's skin diseases are cured by bathing in it. Special kunds (tanks)have been arranged for the devotees coming here to bathe in it, devotees take bath in these kunds in all seasons of the year.
6- This sixth picture is of a special fruit "apricot" tree of this natural place, in which raw fruits are visible at that time.
Many pictures were taken but it would take a lot of time to write their description.

Nice and vibrant place. Is that place covered with snow all year round?
@dove11 Yes, there is Ice throughout the year in Rohtang Pass and its surrounding areas, sometimes there is a layer of 10-12 feet thick ice , but the time of snow fall is from December to March.

Thank you, you gave us an amazing trip! India is a culturally rich and ancient country. I was impressed by the ancient "Hidamba Devi Temple". It is surprising that man-made structures can stand for so long.
@o1eh Our country India is really a country full of surprises, there are many ancient buildings which are very old and are still in existence. The architecture of that time was very advanced. There are many such temples in the country which are built very high and neither iron nor cement is used in those temples. Nor were there cranes in those days. Don't know how they used to do all this.
It's amazing. You made me go to Wikipedia to read about the ancient history of the peoples who lived on the territory of India :-)
