Ready for winter walk: knitted Winter Hat. Power Up #club100
Again the end of the week and we have weekend. It seems like the days really pass very quickly, the week is just started but the next moment is already Friday.
Having spent majority of my time during the week in the building I really miss our long walks and luckily we have nice sunny days last couple of week. Although I might say it is noticeable that we have winter, the temperature was around +3C to +4C. Living at the coastal are and when we walk along the waterfront it is usually windy, I hate cold winter that is why I use my hoody to protect my ears from cold wind from North sea.
When we were walking last time I said to my hubby that I will knit me a hat to keep my ears warm. Said and that is plan, once I came home I started to search for some rest of my wool yarn.
Actually when I knitted a scarf few years ago I had a leftover yarn of the same colour and of course it is made of lamb wool. I started it last weekend and it is ready by today.
As always I captured the process of my knitting and hope you find it interesting :)
Now I wanted to present you my model, the friend from Outer Space who agreed with me and happy to pose. I even think he likes it too :)
Aliens are awesome! I the hat looks nice too...hehe.
I also like this alien head, looks cool, my son received it when he was 12y.o. and was so excited. It was a good model to present my hat :)

Knitting seems like hard work to me, you must have very good eyesight, that color never goes out of style and combines with everything, congratulations on your skills. Greetings
Knitting is hard only at the beginning but once people know the technique it is just flowing :)

Thank you Jorge, I hate cold eyes, finally decided to knit something as many hats that I bought I do not really like and wear. I like the alien head too :)

Hi stef1, your winter hat looks like a real protector in windy weather :) I love this color, it goes well with any outfit. It suits the cool alien friend very well :)) Since I live in a hot city, I don't usually wear winter hats. My son was going to Poland while he was studying at university and he liked a Warrior helmet model and asked me to knit it. I researched on the internet, knitted it and gave it to my son. He was very happy :) Your post reminded me of that hat, I may share pictures of it someday :))
Hi @serap, glad you like my knitting, I like the colour too and decided this simple form. I can imagine that winter in Poland is really cold and they may have some snow too. It is nice that you son liked the hat you knitted, that usually motivates us to do more. Would be great to see the hat. The same with my son his like the sweater I knitted for him and still wears them :)
I completely agree that when they like what we knit, we want to do more :) Since we knit the models they want, the knits are long-lasting and our children can wear them for years. I'll let you know when I share the hat :)
