Prepare for summer trip: car check
Hello my dear Steemians,
While preparing for summer and planning some trips my hubby always does a check up of our car. Despite of being all right and still driving but also the fact that it passed a technical check in December 22, we always make sure if any works need to be done in order to keep the car in good condition but also to avoid a big repair later. This time my hubby chosen a day that was nice and sunny but during the work in the middle of work it started to rain therefore, we made a small break. Luckily the work was done on that day.
Once looking under the car it was obvious that driveshaft was wearing off and needed to be replaced, so we have ordered in Internet that arrived very quickly and it was installed. I think nowadays it is good for those who can fix everything themselves but also if people can understand a bit with the help of technical tutorials and youtube videos it is possible to learn like DIY and do much with your own hands.

Thank you for your compliments I definitely pass to my husband. There are couple of other stuff need to be done for the exhaust so still need to order and then install but that must be ready by July :)
It is just wise to check the car if you plan to use it to go to some place, the oil, tires, tire pressure, extra tire, the radiator coolant and water level, the brakes, pad fluid and all and in your car's case the drive shaft just to ensure a smooth ride back and forth. @stef1 👍
We have a car that we used as a taxi then converted to a family utility car, it was my brother's car that we only borrow when I would go for my dialysis. It is still working and I think it will be used until my brother decided to finally buy a new one.
The car was an Asian SUV (AUV) specifically designed for the roads that we have here in my country it has a leaf suspension and a back-buster, I am on all fours when I ride it because it feels like you are riding a wheelbarrow because you can feel every pebble that the tires roll upon. 😆
My father just maintained it well particularly the engine which is cared by regular oil changes and other part replacements.👍

It is indeed important to have a car and also it is important to make sure that it is driving. I believe it is important for you to be able to get to and back from dialysis. I am glad that your father and brother are able to keep your car in order. I can imagine that often the quality of road also play a great role and impact the car if there are many potholes :)

luckily, your husband always checks the car, before traveling. and no other damage, after inspection there.
Yes @myskye usually checks everything and that is really reassuring because we travel the whole Europe from North to South-West. Would be not good to discover such surprises on the road :)

Yes, that is true, when everything is checked and we are sure that nothing can go wrong then we can only enjoy our holiday. There are some more minor things to do but we still have enough time :)

"driveshaft" - Яндекс-переводчик перевёл как "карланный вал", но на фото явно не он, а передния приводной вал. Карданом мы привыкли называть вал, который идет с коробки передач на задний мост, ну или на передний, если полноприводный авто.
Порылся в Инете и оказывается, что в английском языке эот имеет одно и тоже название. Это точно так?
Завтра свою автоху на ТО определяю. 60к пробег.
Я тоже посмотрела в перводчике это как ты говоришь приводной вал. Надеюсь твоя машина успешно пройдет ТО :)
