Hello my dear Steemians,

Many of you know that we, @stef1 and @myskye are curating Visual Art and everyday we search through the different tags including #art. While doing that we already have such feeling when someone is pretending to be a someone else in order to get reward for the work of others. We thought that since the new Initiative to fight Plagiarism @endingplagiarism and @ac-cheetah started their work that the users who posting Plagiarism are early detected but still we can see for example this user who is still cheating and successfully getting support of Steem-Ghana community.

But let's start from begining

Mass Plagiarism @dolphin33

Today while searching Visual Art for our curation Magazine we came across this user who has what looks normal blog and comes from Ghana

I like her the description of her blog: Multi talented Lady. I can only say, Yes she is talented to trick the Curators from Ghana and their community account @steemcurator04 that was used by @nattybongo, @oppongk.

I want to ask those curators:

  • Have you ever checked this user because the big majority of this users posts are Plagiarism!

Mass Fraud Art @dolphin33

We saw this post and went to look into to see if this user will need our support

The post itself has no writings but only multiple drawings and Artworks

Mass Fraud Art @dolphin33 -1: stolen from Pinterest

  1. The picture of whale:

That picture you can easily find everywhere in Internet and especially in "Pinterest" with any search machine.

Mass Fraud Art @dolphin33 -2: stolen from Agnes Cecile

The next one is this portrait in watercolour

This is official website with the page to theProfessional Artist Agnes Cecile* and you see that this is work for sale and definitely Copyright protected.

Mass Fraud Art @dolphin33 -3: stolen from Nicole Zeug

This is the next stolen work, it is easy to see that this is done by Professional Artist too and not by this user @dolphin33:

This is where this work was taken and the real Artist is Nicole Zeug

Mass Article Plagiarism @dolphin33

From curiosity I simply put the text of this post through search machine and immediately found the match, the whole article word in word is taken from Internet.

https://steemit.com/hive-187593/@dolphin33/how-to-be-happy-and-stay-happy-all-your-life#@steemcurator04/r65yoj

At the end it received support by @oppongk the Community Curator for Africa

To my surprise the whole article is copied and pasted from this website, if you do not believe just visit this link:

A call for the Curators:

We all know that since February the Steemit Team is starting again the Curation according the subjects and activating Steemcurator04-08 accounts for that. There are many new users who will be curators. Many people volunteered to do curation but I do not know how many understand that this is not only to give Upvotes but also to check if the users are honest and presenting their own content.

I would like to tag following users who should be aware about this user the community Curators of Ghana and Anti-Plagiarism Team but also @steemcurator01:

@oppongk, @nattybongo, @alexmove, @papi.mati, @the-gorilla

I joined steemit in December 2021. I was briefed small on this media and as time goes on, each and everyday I learn new stuffs about steemit. My attention has been drawn to a post of abuse by @stef1 about plagiarism. I stand to be corrected but I learnt with my journey on steemit that you can use pictures or information of people but you have to site the source to acknowledge them.
I won’t defend or argue about the post shared by @stef1 because I’m a newbie and there’s more to learn.

I’m sorry if I plagiarized or used people’s article or post. I’m here to share with people my talent, encourage and make a family here not because I want to be rewarded. Due to that I will release all my rewards to steem-ghana and Art for the post I plagiarized. I promise to be of good behavior from now onwards.

I thank you and I’m sorry but please put all the blame on me for not learning more about steemit. @oppongk and @nattybongo are doing a very good Job so please let’s acknowledge them.

I’m very sorry to the following for the harm I have caused them because of my little knowledge about steemit.

Hi @dolphin33, in general when people do something like do blogging then they share something about themselves, that is why it is "your blog". Of course there are maybe sometimes some interesting books, movie or maybe a painting of someone, you can write about but why not to name that Author and praise him/her for the stuff they do. They also have spent their time, their skills and their talent to do it. That is only fair if we spread the words about the beauty of work done by NIcole Zeug and Agnes Cecile, the works of Professional Artists that they are created but you have used without even naming them.

When you joined the Steemit you knew that this is rewarding platform, that means you can earn SBD that means you can earn money with property of others.

I would advise that you delete all the images and also the text of article that you have plagiarized if you want to start blogging again and share something about you you mentioned that you are talented then show YOUR TALENT. I think @oppongk should keep an eye on you and you should ask if you do not know.

Do you see any of those pictures without siting of the source?

Hi @dolphin33, of course all the stolen work you have edited and it is still visible when we check in Steemworld program, nothing is deleted completely and possible to restore, therefore do not take us, the Curators for silly guys. The other works like this one is done by someone and there is a name on it, so you also should cite their source only only those that I have mentioned in this post:

image.png

I thought I have apologized and @stef1 have said I should be of good behavior by siting source well and give credit to the authors of every article so what’s the problem again beside @stef1 told me to make changes and correct myself

@art-venture what do you want me to do again?

Hi @stef1! Thanks very much for this good job and update of this anti-plagiarism. We would therefore take a detail action on this matter and any subsequent matter that would arise from this Plagiarism issues in our Community.

We think this isn't the only issue of plagiarism, since there are many Steemians engaging in plagiarism related content and we are yet to scoop them out. Many are given warnings if they are found. But we are surprised they are still playing hide and seek just to cheat the system.

My pleasure for bringing to our notice me & my team of Curators. 🙏

Thank you for visiting this post and I was puzzled how many plagiarized stuff the user was posting and was not been revealed. I hope you will keep an eye on your newcomers, as the user in above mentioned comment written that she did not know that this is not allowed. The Curators should possible guide those newcomers and advise what is good and what not.

Greetings @stef1,

Let me say kudos for the amazing work done and for helping to bring this to the attention of myself and my colleague leaders in the Ghanaian Community.

It is quite unfortunate that he has managed to slipped through for the long nonetheless now we know and would be able to tackle such situations better and with immediate effect.

Keep up the good work and I wish you the very best of luck

Hope you will keep an eye on the users, we do mute the users and ban from our Community if they are continuously posting Plagiarism, you probably should take some action too, otherwise they all will feel themselves great in your community.

Yes definitely is something leaders have discussed and actions are going to be put it place with immediate effect

This is a very good job you have done here. You are helping the user to Know what to post and what not to post. In a way you are making the user confident of his or her content. That is a good job well done.
