My trek to Annapurna Base Camp by @sampu - Part 6 - (PowerUp 100%)

I am in the process of writing a travelogue of my trek to the Annapurna Base Camp. My friends from World of Xpillar may remember that 8 people from India - Abhishek, Ambar, Ankita, Binoy, Kathakali, Tapas, Ujjwal, and myself Sampat went there.

We reached Deurali (3,229 m) on 06-April-2021. We wake up early, completed our breakfast and started our trek on 07-April-2021.

The beginning of todays walk is with a stiff climb and then plain trail. The trail goes through bamboo forest. Few small shrubs and trees are also there. The trail is leading to Modi Khola.

We crossed the river and continue our walk. Mount Macchapuchhare is calling us.

It was a surprise when we suddenly hear Bengali and the voice is not ours. They were a group of treekkers from Bangladesh. We introduced with each other, clicked some photos and then started the trek again.

The trail is ascent and we are gaining height very fast. We took frequent rest, eat dark chocolates and enough water to cope up with the Altitude Sickness.

We reached Macchapuchhare Base Camp (3,704 m) by noon.

When we started our trek for final stretch after having our lunch, the snowfall started. We decided no point to return to Macchapuchhare Base Camp, insted we decided to continue.

It took us almost 2hrs to walk. Everywhere is white. I couldn't explain the feeling. We are running in snail's speed. The road seems never ending. No visibility - just following the footsteps in snow. Getting slipped several times.

We checked in an tea-house. Had soup and hot foods. Let's hope tomorrow the weather will be clear.
Cost : 500 NPR or 6.76 USD per double bed room with common toilet outside. Food cost extra.
