RE: ROAD TRIP TO VIENNA. Summer 2016.

there are lots of favourites... it´s great to eat at the food markets in the stands that make tapas you can eat right there, like the Mercat Sata Caterina, just near the cathedral... then, near there you MUST visit the Palau de la Música (if you find a good concert while you are there, its even better to get the acoustics. I go to places I don´t remember the names, I know where they are and have been there forever but I never look for the names, I think that if I can find the time, it might be fun to do a post with what I recommend in Barcelona. El Born area is wonderful area, then the Barceloneta is just near the beach and there are some great streets there also, I also always eat in a place there I don´t remember the name, I need to ask my friends . In what area will you be staying?

We’re staying near Espanya—the hotel price was too good to be true. Very close to the metro. So there is a day exploring Montjuïc and El Poble-sec. We’ll do a district-a-day. El Born is definitely on the itinerary. Lots and lots of walking. It’s my specialty after the snow melts. And I hear there is no snow in Barcelona:)
I wonder about outdoor festivals in May.
A good day for me is good food, enough drink, and people watching til my eyes shut down.
I just wrote down the Mercat Sata Caterina and the Palau de Música.
We hope to take a day trip out of Barcelona. I dream of affordable winters in Spain:)
Thank you very much for the tips!

if you drive out of Barcelona you should go to Figueras to the Dali museum or Cadaqués to his house museum, beautiful coastal village.

Yes, Cadaqués! Perhaps the train:)
Thank you!
