Whisky Blending
This Saturday here in central London I created my own whisky blend. I attended a private blending experience which started with a welcome whisky cocktail that tasted like tea, earl grey.
Then we tasted six whiskies including a new make whilst learning more about distilling it.
Peat.
Based on how whisky is made nowadays it actually is distilled beer without the hops. Irish monks got it all started many many years ago.
Whisky goes quite well with popcorn, fennel and paprika to be precise.
If you have taken a similar photo whilst tasing or blending whisky you obviously had fun.
The best about this whisky experience is that you also get to bottle and take home 200ml of the whisky you blended yourself that is tailed to your own preferences.
Believe it or not drinking whisky in a cosy, more private environment, also brings up memories. So a lovely glass of sherry I had this Christmas came to my mind and I tried to recreate it. Maybe I have succeeded? I will know for certain in a couple of weeks when the whisky in my own bottle labelled as @petface’s would have blended properly.

I never thought of consuming whiskey with popcorn and dill and pepper. Thanks for the idea, I will try it soon, it will be interesting :)))
I was at a similar whiskey tasting once. They talked about the history of the drink, their features....it was interesting, but I couldn't try anything because I was photographing for hire. Unfortunately, I can't find any pictures, because it was all a long time ago
Why am I not there? 😂😂😂
这种酒看起来是很美味的,但是在中国我们却很少有机会喝,不得不说,这是一个遗憾。
