Smoked Meat 🥩
Let’s have lunch today at Schwartz’s, Montreal’s most popular place to eat in an area known as Little Portugal.
The queue outside is massive, especially for the posher restaurant bit but if you’d rather do other things instead of queuing for hours as they take no bookings, the take away bit also has seats and does drinks.
I went for their traditional smoked meat sandwich which as you can see from the photos is mostly meat rather than bread.

This queue at the restaurant is very similar to the queues at restaurants in the USSR! There were few restaurants and cafes in the USSR. But the biggest queue is at the McDonald's restaurant, which was opened on January 31, 1990
