Tanggal 27 Januari 2024 ini saya berencana untuk mengikuti workshop photography di Kota Makassar, dimana 2 fotografer senior untuk Model and Fashion dan seorang Fotografer Landscape dari Jakarta akan memberikan workshop. Sebagai persiapan mengikuti acara ini, saya membuka kembali beberapa file lama saya saat masih sering memotret Model.
Ketika memotret Model saya selalu beranggapan bahwa shallow Depth Of Field adalah suatu kewajiban, bahkan File yang tidak ada BOKEH saya anggap kurang baik.
Ketika memulai landscape photography, hal sebaliknya berlaku, saya sangat jarang menggunakan Bukaan Aperture besar untuk Foto landscape, kecuali Milkyway.
Semua itu adalah teknik photography saja, banyak fotografer diluar sana menghasilkan suatu karya tanpa terbaik tanpa terikat dengan teknik atau aturan dalam photography. Namun mengetahui teknik akan membuat karya kita semakin baik, dibandingkan dengan hanya mengambil gambar serampangan. Betul tidak?

On January 27, 2024, I plan to attend a photography workshop in Makassar, where two senior photographers specializing in Model and Fashion, along with a Landscape Photographer from Jakarta, will be conducting sessions. In preparation for this event, I've revisited some of my old files from the time when I used to frequently capture models.
When photographing models, I always believed that a shallow depth of field is a necessity, and I even considered files without bokeh to be less satisfactory. However, when venturing into landscape photography, the opposite applies – I rarely use a larger aperture for landscape photos, except for capturing the Milky Way.
These are just photography techniques; many photographers create impressive works without strictly adhering to techniques or rules in photography. However, understanding these techniques can indeed enhance the quality of our work compared to taking random shots. Would you agree?
