Memories

Memories consist basically in the evocation of events stored in the past. Their importance lies in the emotion or emotions they generate in each of us.

Thanks to this capacity to contemplate the past, human beings are in a position to plan for the future. Memories can be linked to short-term or long-term memory, while animals, on the contrary, only remember based on their present needs.

I took this picture a few years ago, during a short visit to the colonial quarter of the city of Puerto Cabello, located on the shores of the Caribbean Sea.

As I have described in previous publications, I used the editing tools offered by Picsart and Snapseed applications to intervene the original image to my satisfaction.

Recuerdos

Los recuerdos consisten básicamente en la evocación de sucesos o eventos almacenados en el pasado. Su importancia radica en la emoción o emociones que estos generan en cada uno de nosotros.

Gracias a esta capacidad de contemplar el pasado, el ser humano está en condiciones de planificar el futuro. Los recuerdos pueden estar vinculados a la memoria a corto plazo o a la memoria a largo plazo, mientras los animales, por el contrario, sólo recuerdan a partir de sus necesidades presentes.

Esta fotografía la tomé hace algunos años atrás, durante una corta visita que realicé al casco colonial de la ciudad de Puerto Cabello, ubicada a orillas del Mar Caribe.

Tal como lo he descrito en publicaciones anteriores, usé las herramientas de edición que ofrecen las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed para intervenir la imagen original a mi entera satisfacción.
