Holy Week
During the last days of March, Christianity around the world celebrated what is its biggest holiday of the year, next to Christmas, which is Holy Week, the time when the days prior to the arrest, trial and subsequent crucifixion of Jesus in his passage through the Earth are remembered.
During this period of time, there are many activities that take place and traditions that are remembered, and depending on the region or country, some are more popular than others.
In particular, on Good Friday I went downtown to participate in the "Tour of the 7 Temples", which takes place between Thursday afternoon and the early hours of Friday, as a way of reflecting on the sacrifice that represented the death of Jesus, and the subsequent celebration of his resurrection on Easter Sunday.
Although I was not able to visit seven churches that day according to tradition, at least, the activity served to connect me more intimately with my beliefs and to take good pictures, both of the temples and of the many attendees who were present.
As I have described in previous publications, I used the editing tools offered by Picsart and Snapseed applications to intervene the original image to my satisfaction.
Semana Santa
Los últimos días del mes de Marzo, la cristiandad alrededor del mundo, celebró la que es su mayor festividad del año, junto a la Navidad, la cual es la Semana Santa, el momento en que se recuerdan los días previos a la detención, juicio y posterior crucifixión de Jesús en su paso por la Tierra.
Durante este período de tiempo, son muchas las actividades que se realizan y las tradiciones que se recuerdan, y dependiendo de la región o país, algunas gozan de mayor popularidad que otras.
En lo particular, el Viernes Santo acudí al centro de la ciudad para participar en el "Recorrido de los 7 Templos", el cual se realiza entre la tarde del Jueves y las primeras horas del Viernes, como una forma de reflexionar sobre el sacrificio que representó la muerte de Jesús, y la celebración posterior de su resurrección el Domingo de Pascuas.
Aunque no pude visitar siete iglesias ese día de acuerdo con la tradición, al menos, la actividad me sirvió para conectarme más intimamente con mis creencias y poder tomar buenas imágenes, tanto de los templos como de los muchos asistentes que estuvieron presentes.
Tal como lo he descrito en publicaciones anteriores, usé las herramientas de edición que ofrecen las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed para intervenir la imagen original a mi entera satisfacción.
