Photo Contest: Post Processing #25 [ENG/ESP]
In photography, light is one of its fundamental elements, to such an extent that without light it could not exist. Lighting is a tool used to create stories, highlight objects or hide them from the viewer's gaze.
For this new initiative by @bambuka from the World of Xpilar Community, all participants are asked to take or select a photograph of their own, where light is the main protagonist, either the passage of a beam of light through a transparent or translucent surface, or the reflection that light projects on a surface.
On this occasion, I chose a photograph I took recently from my bedroom window, where the sun is hiding behind the clouds as the day came to an end.
En la fotografía, la luz es uno de sus elementos fundamentales, a tal punto, que sin luz no podría existir. La iluminación es una herramienta para sirve para crear historias, destacar objetos u ocultarlos de la mirada del espectador.
Para esta nueva iniciativa del compañero @bambuka de la Comunidad World of Xpilar, se nos solicita a todos los participantes, tomar o seleccionar una fotografía propia, donde la luz tenga el mayor protagonismo, bien sea, el paso de un haz de luz a través de una superficie transparente o traslúcida, o el reflejo que la luz proyecta sobre una superficie.
En esta ocasión, escogí una fotografía que tomé recientemente desde la ventana de mi habitación, donde el sol se esconde detrás de las nubes mientras el día llegaba a su final.
My intention in processing the image I selected was to increase or highlight the rays of light that emerge from the sun hidden behind a cloud, so first I cropped the photograph in order to eliminate the elements that in my opinion are superfluous, and thus concentrate on the central part, where the great protagonist of this new challenge is located.
Afterwards, I experimented modifying the values of lighting, shadows, contrast, saturation, structure and sharpness, until I obtained a result that although it is not what I initially wanted, it was the best I got with the image editing applications I usually use.
Finally, this is the result of processing the original photo.
Mi intención al procesar la imagen que seleccioné, era incrementar o destacar los rayos de luz que surgen del sol oculto tras una nube, por lo que, en primer lugar recorté la fotografía con el objetivo de eliminar los elementos que en mi opinión sobran, y de esta manera concentrarnos en la parte central, donde se encuentra la gran protagonista de este nuevo desafío.
Posteriormente, experimenté modificando los valores de la iluminación, sombras, contraste, saturación, estructura y nitidez, hasta obtener un resultado que aunque no es tal vez lo que deseaba inicialmente, fue lo mejor que obtuve con las aplicaciones de edición de imágenes que acostumbro a usar.
Finalmente, este el resultado del procesamiento de la foto original.
