Steemit Engagement Challenge WOX, S10W5: Collage my Life | @lllll1ll
Hello dear Steemians!
I was so fascinated by the theme of the new contest that I decided to do something I had never done before. I've never tried to talk about myself and create natural collages before. It's hard for me to judge how well it turned out for the viewer's perception, but I myself was satisfied with my work. This activity was not useless.
Working on the theme "Collage from my life" required a lot of material so that I could do it the way I originally intended. For several days in my free time, I looked through my magazines and catalogs to find the items and materials I needed. What was found was put aside, and a stack of such magazines with bookmarks in the right places, increasing in size, began to frighten me.
But fortunately, I saw this cabinet in one of the architectural magazines and it saved me from unnecessary work, prompting a new version of the embodiment of my idea with its appearance.
I liked the closet so much that I would even find a place in my house where to put it in order to use it and continue to love it, but the main thing about it is that with its ascetic and complete design, it fully meets my aesthetic needs and somehow reminds me of myself.
It remains for me to carefully cut it out and look for the rest of the collage details that were already in my thoughts.
But while I was cutting out this cabinet, I came up with the idea not to go anywhere else and not look for anything else, but to turn my work into an abstract and use for this purpose only clippings from the picture on which this cabinet recently stood.
When all the parts were made, I assembled them into the right composition on craft paper, but the result did not satisfy me. In the presence of such a background, some more filling was required, but this already destroyed the decision to make do with one borrowed picture for the whole work.
But the way out was found: I just took a sheet of black cardboard for drawing and used it as a background. For me, the black color symbolizes the content of everything that is filtered out by my consciousness during my life from many different values. It has everything that led me to the state of this beautiful, durable and reliable cabinet, but what exactly it is, someone can only find out by looking into it, but it is available only to me and Heaven.

Thank you very much for participating in the challenge "The collage of my life".
Your original work, at first glance is complex to read, but when you read the text it all makes sense.
The use of a cabinet as a central figure seems to me almost avant-garde and breaks with the concept I had of collage.
Technically, the cutting of the figure is perfect, from this I deduce that you are a tidy and perfectionist person. The use of the leftover paper in the form of geometric figures creates a nice composition and looks much better against the dark background you finally used.
A minor detail to improve would be the photo of the finished collage, which is a bit dark on one side. I always photograph my collages next to a window with natural light to avoid shadows.
I hope this is the first collage in a series.

As for the final result with a shadow, I made a conscious decision to leave it that way, because if you hang a collage on the wall in an ordinary room without additional lighting, then this is about how it can look in the interior. It seems to me that this shadow on the right has become a full participant in the composition. Maybe I'm wrong.

I would put such a closet for myself too, it will definitely fit all my photo accessories 🤣😂 😅
There is a place for everything in such a cabinet, not just for lenses, but you can buy it or even make it. I like that most of its space is closed and only very little is left for review.

It happens to me when I want to make a collage, there is so much to do that making sense of it is not so easy, a good closet seems logical to me, you put your camera away, read and have good days or not so clear that you keep what makes you feel good there.
