Imagine what would happen if man as well as discover that in the depths of the sea there is a large space of land - underwater -, like species of mountains, one after the other covered by a large golden basin . Can you visualize it?
I can already see the creation of new maritime laws by the great powers in order to keep that underwater land that would literally be a golden mine. Large ships would colonize that area, probably with different flags, some starry, others with stripes and different colors, but each one wanting its part of the discovery.
I am sure that whoever owns by law the underwater terrain, prior to the discovery, if it is a nation with little warlike power in terms of weapons, would be left behind without much capacity to have an opinion on what belongs to it...does this seem like a known or repeated story to you?
Or it could probably receive support from other powers so that they do not "invade its space", but the condition of that "support" would be to keep a part of that wealth, that is, the agreement would be, I will help you not to be invaded, but you give me permission to invade and plunder you, with permission it is not invasion or plundering, or is it?
Of course, this is just an exercise in imagination, nothing to do with past or present reality, much less with the future, or probably yes?, I don't know, history is written, the present is being written and the future... is being generated from now on. Like this story that emerges from those golden mountains.

Imaginen que pasaría si el hombre al igual que descubre que en las profundidades del mar existe un gran espacio de terreno - submarino -, como especies de montañas, una detrás de otra cubierta por una gran baño de oro... ¿Lo pueden visualizar?
Ya veo la creación de nuevas leyes marítimas por parte de grandes potencias con tal de quedarse con ese terreno submarino que literalmente sería una mina de oro. Grandes buques colonizarían esa zona, seguramente con distintas banderas, algunas estrelladas, otras con rayas y de colores distintos, pero cada uno queriendo su parte del descubrimiento.
Seguro estoy que a quien le pertenezca por ley el terreno submarino, previo al descubrimiento, si es una nación con poco poder bélico armamentista, quedaría rezagado a un lado sin mucha capacidad de opinar en lo que le pertenece... ¿les parece una historia conocida o repetida?
O probablemente pueda recibir apoyo de otras potencias para que no "invadan su espacio", pero la condición de ese "apoyo" sería quedarse con una parte de esa riqueza, es decir, el acuerdo sería, te ayudaré a que no te invadan, pero me das permiso para invadirte y saquearte, ya con permiso no es invasión ní saqueo, ¿o acaso si?
Claro, esto es sólo un ejercicio de imaginación, nada que ver con la realidad pasada, presente ni mucho menos con el futuro, ¿o probablemente sí?, lo desconozco, la historia está escrita, el presente se está escribiendo y el futuro... se está generando desde ahora. Al igual que esta historia que surge a partir de esas montañas doradas.
