The Iced Castle | Creating a Story Contest
Once a upon a time in a land where love was all about. There, the King Danny and the Queen Betty was full of love and radiates its beauty to the rest of the homeland.
Every people in the kingdom was happy, kind, obedient and happiness was all the most important. The king and queen was blessed with 8 children and they were all pleasant and respectful to the parents and rules that every one has to follow.
One day, one of the children (the second child) has lost his interest in the kingdom and ran away to explore things like vices, women, drugs, and do a lot of stuffs that broke his parents wonderful dream.
On the other hand at the kingdom, the king becomes so sick and body was so weak. The king can not let the first son to rule the kingdom because for him, he doesn't have the dedication to lead the people. The first son got married and flew away from the kingdom. The fifth and the sixth child died due to illness that makes the queen very sad. The third child got married to a man from another space (alien) and that she could no longer stay in the family.
Three children left for the king and queen. The seventh child, also the youngest son found the love of his life but that woman doesn't want to marry him. They have 3 kids and that not being married with kids is a big disappointment in the house rule. So they flew away.
With all those things happened, the king died with full of sadness. The old happy and vibrant kingdom was covered with sadness and so cold covered with ice that nothing from anyone could warm it up and give a little bit enthusiasm.
So who's left in the kingdom for the queen?
The queen still have the youngest child. But later on, she decided to find a life that will give her peace and away form all the sad memories she had. She went to a place where she was stronger and happier.
The fourth child is the one who serves the queen with all her heart. She was not married and so she dedicates her life in taking care of the queen. Her health is also not in good shape but she is positive about life. The queen is also living her life with hope that things would get better for her every children. She knows her life and the family is far from being in a Disney and fantasy.
The kingdom (the photo above) doesn't look lively but everyone in their are striving to have back the life the that the king has wished for them.
