The machinery before your eyes is not an invention of the year 3045. It is, instead, a construction of more than 50,000 years ago. But how is this possible, if by that time human ancestors were still chasing giant creatures half-naked to feed themselves?

Well, you see, a long time ago there was a lot more going on than now. How do I know it? Read on. During the Pleistocene, Sabre-toothed tigers ran after bisons, and also extraterrestrial beings visited Earth in search of a valuable mineral. Klipturovia, brought into human language, was a component that lay in various parts of the Universe. However, it was only on Earth that it could be obtained in a solid state. The battles to get it first were many and devastating. Even Saturn, Venus and Mars were depopulated in that era due to all the intense wars.

Although Earth was initially dismissed as the source of Klipturovia because it was almost completely frozen, it was a vivid flash from that planet that intrigued the victorious alien race one day.

They wondered:

Klipturovia, hot as a star, inside glaciers without making them water?

They soon landed and realized that it was indeed Klipturovia. Solid Klipturovia. They discovered that the components of solid earthly water cooled the coveted mineral like they had never seen before with any other substance, to the point of making it hard as a rock.

And why did they want Klipturovia so badly?

If you wanted to conquer the universe, wouldn't you have to go to every corner of it? How about occupying it all in a sudden? Klipturovia would make this dream come true at last. This mineral concentrates very high levels of energy in just a few grams. So if you get a lot of kilograms... Exactly! Infinite energy to use. The ultimate goal was to create a machine capable of transporting any amount of stuff anywhere in the universe.

The invaders made a feast by collecting all the existing Klipturovia. Their work was successful, but it altered Earth. That ice age was the last precisely because these extraterrestrials, with so much extraction and destruction, modified the course of the Earth and its proximity to the Sun. Also, many Earth organisms disappeared at that time for the same reason. What can I say? Ambition takes care of no one.

Or does it? Apparently, the invaders took care of a peculiar species. They were hominids. They found their lives and clumsy homework skills extremely amusing. For several hundred years they had contact with them and taught them a thing or two. As you might expect, that changed the landscape radically for such primates. Some time later it would be seen how such creatures would devote themselves to fabricate certain toys for various uses and buildings here and there with delusions of grandeur. As funny as always!

However, before that happened, the invaders, who I now remember were called Cajulians, had already managed to process all of Klipturovia with tools brought from their galaxy over three centuries. Finally, the hypertransporter was ready and was put to work with the «inexhaustible power». Given the fragility of the Earth and the entire Milky Way, the first ignition happened in a galaxy as isolated as NGK-351. Some accounts that the Cajulians present that time could see a reality where any cluster of galaxies could be reached with their long limbs or filled with entire civilizations in an instant. Then they discovered the complexities of the Multiverse. There were superior, peaceful races that put the brakes on the Cajulians and forced all the manufactured hypertransporters to go out of action.

And, well, here I am, a special collector from Universe 7, about to collect in an ocean of Earth, perhaps, one of the first prototypes ever created of that hypertransporter.

Klipturovia, ¿dónde estás?

La maquinaria que está ante sus ojos no es un invento del año 3045. Es, en cambio, una construcción de hace más de 50000 años. Pero, ¿cómo es esto posible, si para esa época los antepasados humanos aún perseguían semidesnudos a criaturas gigantes para alimentarse?

Pues, verán, hace mucho tiempo pasaban bastantes cosas más que ahora. ¿Cómo lo sé? Continúen leyendo. Durante el Pleistoceno los tigres diente de Sable corrían tras bisontes y también seres extraterrestres visitaban la Tierra en búsqueda de un mineral valioso. La Klipturovia, llevada a lenguaje humano, era un componente que yacía en varias partes del Universo. Sin embargo, era sólo en la Tierra donde se podía obtener en estado sólido. Las batallas por conseguirla primero fueron muchas y devastadoras. Incluso Saturno, Venus y Marte quedaron despoblados en esa era gracias a todas las intensas luchas.

Aunque en un principio se descartó a la Tierra como fuente de Klipturovia por estar casi completamente congelada, fue un vivo destello desde ese planeta lo que intrigó a la raza extraterrestre victoriosa.

Se preguntaron:

¿Klipturovia, caliente como una estrella, dentro de glaciares sin hacerlos agua?

Pronto aterrizaron y dieron cuenta que era efectivamente Klipturovia. Klipturovia sólida. Descubrieron que los componentes del agua sólida terrestre enfriaban el codiciado mineral como nunca antes habían visto con ninguna otra sustancia, hasta el punto de volverla dura como una roca.

Y, a todas estas, ¿por qué deseaban tanto la Klipturovia?

Si ustedes quisieran conquistar el universo, ¿no tendrían que ir a cada rincón de él? ¿qué tal ocuparlo todo en un instante? La Klipturovia haría este sueño realidad por fin. Este mineral concentra altísimo niveles de energía en apenas unos gramos. De modo que si consigues muchos kilogramos.. ¡exacto! Energía infinita para usar. El objetivo máximo era crear una máquina capaz de transportar cualquier cantidad de cosas a cualquier lugar del universo.

Los invasores hicieron un festín recolectando toda la Klipturovia existente. Su trabajo fue exitoso, pero alteró la Tierra. Aquella era de hielo fue la última precisamente porque dichos extraterrestres con tanta extracción y destrucción, modificaron el curso de la Tierra y su cercanía con el Sol. También, muchos organismos terrestres desaparecieron en esa época por la misma razón. ¿Qué decir? La ambición no cuida de nadie.

O, ¿si? Al parecer, los invasores tomaron cariño por una especie peculiar. Eran homínidos. Sus vidas y torpes habilidades para hacer sus deberes les parecieron sumamente graciosas. Por varios cientos de años tuvieron contacto con ellos y les enseñaron par de cosas. Como ya supondrán, eso cambió el panorama radicalmente para tales primates. Algún tiempo después se vería como semejantes criaturas se dedicarían a construir ciertos juguetes para usos varios y edificaciones por aquí y por allá con delirios de grandeza. ¡Siempre tan cómicos!

Sin embargo, antes de que eso sucediera los invasores, que ahora recuerdo se llamaban Cajulians, ya habían logrado procesar toda Klipturovia con herramientas traídas desde su galaxia a lo largo de tres siglos. Finalmente, el hipertransportador estuvo listo y fue puesto a funcionar con la «energía inagotable». Dada la fragilidad de la Tierra y toda la Vía Láctea, el primer encendido sucedió en una galaxia tan aislada como NGK-351. Algunos cuentas que los Cajulians presentes esa vez pudieron ver una realidad donde cualquier cúmulo de galaxias podía ser alcanzado con sus largas extremidades o llenado con civilizaciones enteras en un instante. Luego descubrieron las complejidades del Multiverso. Hubo razas superiores, pacíficas, que pusieron freno a los Cajulians y obligaron a dejar inoperativos todos los hipertransportadores fabricados.

Y, bueno, aquí estoy yo, un recolector especial del Universo 7, a punto de recoger en un océano de la Tierra, quizá uno de los primeros prototipos jamás creados de aquel hipertransportador.
