Welcome to the League

Following the changes made last week, I'd like to welcome @heribertor and @o1eh to Steemit's Fantasy La Liga. It's great to see you both settling in quickly and making plenty of transfers.

5 Spaces Remaining

We've cleaned up the league and all inactive players have now been removed - this means that we have 5 spaces for any new players interested in joining - with plenty of Steem still to be won, it's never too late to sign up. Details of how to join can be found in this post.

Fixture 12 Transfer Chaos

With the increased activity that new players bring, deadline day (24 hours before the first match kicks off) saw a deluge of activity with many squads needing to react quickly to losing their players. Unfortunately, @jimah1k and @jacorv were caught out and were unable to field a full team - both scoring 0 points. Whilst @jacorv has strengthened, @jimah1k looks light in defence and needs to look for at least 1 more defender to be able to field 11 players in Fixture 13, especially as the transfers continue to flow.

Fixture 12 Results and Prize Winner

With the new Gameweek prize being introduced, it's probably the closest Gameweek that we've had since the season start with the top 3 scorers separated by just 1 point. @the-gorilla beating @arahman and @titopx by just 1 point.

The 2 Steem prize has now been transferred 🏆

Overall Ranking

This all means that there's little change at the top with @the-gorilla leading the way from @arahman and @chenty.

With things still tight at the top, a missed transfer or going over budget could be very costly as the battle to get into the top 3 intensifies.
