| В июле 2022г в одной из поездок мы с подругой побывали в городе Елец. Город очень симпатичный, мы познакомились с ним на недолгой прогулке. Но он запал в сердце. | In July 2022, on one of the trips , my friend and I visited the city of Yelets. The city is very pretty, we got to know it on a short walk. But he sunk into the heart. |
| Побывали мы и на площади Ленина, о которой я и расскажу. Ведь 22 апреля – день рождения Ленина. | We also visited Lenin Square, which I will tell you about. After all, April 22 is Lenin's birthday. |
| До революции эта площадь называлась Архангельской и была заложена еще генеральным планом Ельца 1770 года. Когда-то здесь были торговые рыбные ряды, купеческие магазины, лавки. В 1935-ом году комсомольцы благоустроили площадь. В честь 18-летия Октябрьской революции открыли памятник В.И. Ленину, после чего она стала называться площадью Ленина | Before the revolution, this square was called Arkhangelskaya and was laid out by the master plan of Yelets in 1770. Once there were trading fish rows, merchant shops. In 1935, Komsomol members improved the square. In honor of the 18th anniversary of the October Revolution, a monument to V.I. Lenin, after which it became known as Lenin Square. |
| Когда мы были площадь радовала аккуратной, видимо, недавно положенной плиткой. | When we were there, the square pleased us with neat, apparently, recently laid tiles. |
| Розовое здание слева - биржа 1913г. Сейчас там Дом пионеров и школьников. | The pink building on the left is the stock exchange in 1913. Now there is the House of Pioneers and Schoolchildren. |
| В центре Ельца сохранили старую малоэтажную застройку. Поэтому с площади хорошо видна колокольня Успенской церкви, находящейся в квартале оттуда. | In the center of Yelets, the old low-rise buildings have been preserved. Therefore, the bell tower of the Assumption Church, located a block away, is clearly visible from the square. |
| Вот и памятник Ленину. В 80-е годы ХХ века площадь Ленина подверглась коренной реконструкции, а памятник Владимиру Ильичу был заменен на новый — бронзовый и более крупный, установленный на гранитный постамент. | Here is the monument to Lenin. In the 80s of the twentieth century, Lenin Square underwent a radical reconstruction, and the monument to Vladimir Ilyich was replaced with a new one - bronze and larger, mounted on a granite pedestal. |
