Small buildings in the wilderness.

Where do your doors lead?
Quirky little buildings like these are all over the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Little structures that stand in the harsh environment of the mountains. To find them, one must choose the path less chosen. Climb the hill that others shun. Go looking for nothing to find everything.

These buildings can make beautiful scenes in alot of situations, the last one would give a nice feeling if it had mist :) i love the colors and composition on the first photo! great work!
Thanks, this was an assignment for a photoshop class using color selections, so I went for big color. I like the idea of mist (and a stary sky) as my next composite with this photo.
I would definitely go for the mist, there's something minimalist and misterious on the idea
@drephillip This is the vibe I get when I am around this building. I really want to do a photo overnighter and do some fun stuff with this in real life, not pixels. :)
If you get a light inside or behind giving some light rays shooting out on the mist that would really make an interesting photo :)

One of my acquaintances said that such a place is a place of communication with the cosmic Internet. Apparently he loved to go out into space :-))
The first and the last even look like a spaceship, with its nose looking up to the sky.

LOL, they probably are, or at least the first and third. If you look close to the first image, you will see a fire lookout tower behind the trees. Both of those buildings were around the tower, so technically they could have been outhouses, not sure. I edited out the locks. The middle building is a shed by a corral.
I have joked so many times about doing a photo series on outhouses in the wilderness. I may have to make that happen this summer.
