Why are humans sleeping when sleeping? Why do we need this rest during the day?

There is much to be done to explain all humans matters, but there is a logic behind what we are doing. And we need to sleep during the 24 hours during a day, otherwise we will die.

Since God created everything, He also built into us the need for sleep. The first biblical mention of sleep is found in Genesis 2:21 when God placed Adam into a deep sleep and formed Eve from one of his ribs. God built the concept of rest into His creation (Genesis 2:2). He established the pattern of regular rest when He set aside the Sabbath day for the Jewish people (Exodus 31:16; Leviticus 23:3).

The Bible speaks of sleep both positively and negatively. Sleep is sometimes portrayed as a gift from God in passages such as Proverbs 3:24 and Psalm 4:8. We know that sleeping is part of being a healthy person because Jesus had to sleep just like we do (Luke 8:23; Mark 1:35). Some times, God spoke to people while they slept through dreams and visions (Genesis 20:3; 31:24; 1 Kings 3:5; Daniel 7:1). However, sleep, like all of God’s gifts, can be abused. Verses such as Proverbs 6:9, 19:15, 20:13, and 24:33 symbolize laziness as sleep.

Sleeping rest is also a mandate from God because he designed us to need sleep every day. Waking rest is important to our health and well-being and the vibrancy of our service to the Lord. Time spent this way rejuvenates and refreshes us, like wading in a cool, clear stream on a hot summer day. So, no, people don’t think it’s a sin when sleeping. Then again, our belief system doesn’t tell us its a sin. Your results may vary depending on your holy dogma and how faithfully you adhere to it. So, sleeping is just necessary during the day, and we can determine when we would sleep during the day. So, 24 hours are available during the day, and we determine when to sleep. But we need some hours to sleep every day!

Sleep is essential for good health. In fact, we need sleep to survive — just like we need food and water. So, it’s no wonder we spend about one-third of our lives sleeping.

Many biological processes happen during sleep:

  • The brain stores new information and gets rid of toxic waste.
  • Nerve cells communicate and reorganize, which supports healthy brain function.
  • The body repairs cells, restores energy, and releases molecules like hormones and proteins.

According to the energy conservation theory, we need sleep to conserve energy. Sleeping allows us to reduce our caloric needs by spending part of our time functioning at a lower metabolism. So, what are reasons about sleeping, and could we just avoid the sleeping manners, and being satisfied with no sleeping at all as humans? No, we cannot, and the human body is also made for resting behavior, in addition to working behavior.

So, sleeping is backed by the way our metabolic rate drops during sleep. Research suggests that 8 hours of sleep for human beings can produce a daily energy savings of 35 percent over complete wakefulness.

For now, here are five of the most interesting ideas about why humans sleep:

  1. Sleep clears our brains of junk.
  2. Sleep strengthens our memories.
  3. Sleep restores our bodies.
  4. Sleep conserves energy.
  5. Sleep helped us hide from predators.

So, there are reasons why humans are sleeping, and how this started, and how it started, and why it was like it was, these things we have explained in human history, and the research can be even stronger and better. And we need to use the courses we have had in learning in different levels on the schools, otherwise we will not want to work! So, schools and missions and visions behind the education, should we use when working, otherwise this education has no purpose!

That's true, I enjoy sleeping, its so nice when you are tired to just relax to music and drift away :)
