The world inventions; The history and the case of the dishwasher!
We have really got a great invention in the world with the dishwasher. Now, you do not use your hands any more together with dishwashing liquid to do clean the cups, plates, cutlery and more. But now you place the things in the dishwasher and when going through a program it is clean after a short time.
The most successful of the hand-powered dishwashers was invented in 1886 by Josephine Cochrane together with mechanic George Butters in Cochrane's tool shed in Shelbyville, Illinois when Cochrane (a wealthy socialite) wanted to protect her china while it was being washed. Hence, there have been some years of time with having the dishwasher.
Let’s start with the basics: to wash dishes by hand takes a lot of patience, good will and the right method. And it takes time. This is what fascinates people who love dishwashing: when you wash the dishes, you can switch off, can think away the stressful daily routine, rely on automatisms and let your mind wander. It can come close to a meditation.
Every movement has to fit, and the technology and the result have to be right. This means, first of all, that everything has to be rinsed with water in a first step, so that food, oil and fat residues are roughly eliminated. Only then you can fill the sink with warm water and make each plate, each glass, each piece of cutlery individually – starting with the least dirty. And using the dishwasher makes you to get pleasure of clean equipment to your kitchen!
Although dishwashers are watertight, they don't actually fill with water. Just a small basin at the bottom fills up. There, heating elements heat the water to 130 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Then a pump propels the water up to the water jets, where it is forced out and sprayed against the dirty dishes. So, the principle is to use warm water and dish soap, to get things to be clean. And we are using different things in the dishwasher than in the washing machine. The washing machine is just for clothes, and things we are wearing during the day!
By the 1970s, dishwashers had become commonplace in domestic residences in North America and Western Europe. By 2012, over 75 percent of homes in the United States and Germany had dishwashers. In the late 1990s, manufacturers began offering various new energy conservation features in dishwashers, and the dishwashers are spread for their uses in the countries that are mentioned here even today! So, not all countries in the world has used this new technology to make the daily life in the kitchen even going smoothly!
